Chapter 6: True Realization

Owen's Pov

I chose the right time as the beast was getting closer to the mother and child to dash out and slashed it in half. The beast disappeared into smoke and I stood with my back against them as I held up my swords. ' Hey it's me you want!!Don't attack innocent people.....' ' Mama!!' ' Don't cry dear.....we'll be safe.....' ' Get out of here......' ' Y--Yes....thank you.....' They both got out of the way and one of them pounced on me. It knocked me against one of them tombstone which sucks for me when it hit my lower back. ' Oww!!Fuck you!' I kicked the beast from under and it was sent up into the air. I got off my ass and rubbed my back as it disappeared and reappeared in front of me again. ' Damn you fucking beast.....that hurt like a motherfucker you know that!?' I kicked the same beast again and it destroyed some of the tombstone which I'm glad it missed my father's and brother's. The gang slowly circled around me as I prepared to fight all of them. ' Please be careful in this one Owen......they can't be destroyed because they are nightmare.....' ' Can you give me a better definition of it?.....' ' These beasts are the fears of people......the nightmares that are made from the human mind.....so to destroy them.....you need a lot of power to dispel it.....'

One of them jumped at me as I knocked it back with my swords. I continued to be on my defense since it was fucking 6 against 1 which is not fair in my opinion but I think they don't care about my opinion. ' So to dispel nightmare......it must be something of just?....' ' Yes.....and you're holding blades of just......well....once were just.....but they still have the power of just.....' ' Right.....let's do this then.....' I slashed all of them to send them back but they were coming at me with full power. I kept my guard on everytime they tried to strike me but some were effortless since they managed to break my guard and clawed me. ' Damn.....these things aren't working......and you said they are weapons of just.....' ' Hey.....it's been awhile since I used the power of just okay?.....I'm rusty.....' ' Then better get unrusted before I die!' I continued to guard all of their attacks until something shot one of them through the head. It was a blue glow for a split second before it disappeared into the ground. ' Is that.....a bullet?.....' ' Looks like Mark and Poseidon has our back from the shadows of the forest......' All of the beasts looks towards the forest and I needed to draw their attention back to me so he could kill them.

' Hey assholes!!Aren't your targets me?.....come and get me.....' All of them charged for me and I leaped onto one of the tombstones to jump over them. One of them ran into a tree as the others turned back and charged towards me. I guarded some of them and pushed the others back. I felt the sword glow for a second and I let my guard down for that exact moment for one of them to jump onto me. I thought I was about to get eaten when Mark shot another bullet through the head to kill it. ' Phew.....thank god......' ' So.....I guess you felt that power didn't you?....' ' Yeah.....at about the time I almost handed my ass to.....' I got on my feet again and the swords started surging with power as they glowed bright blue. I rushed towards one of them and sliced its head clean off with one slash. ' Now that is what I'm talking about......these fuckers are all screwed to the ground.....' All of them didn't even back off because they couldn't win this no matter what, they just continue to charge forward without any hesitation. I cut through all of them but they were determine to bring me back to their master. One of them managed to get behind me and claw me down the back.

I jumped back to dodge the follow up attack and I landed on one of the tombstone. ' D--Damn.....' ' Are you okay Owen?.....' ' Y--Yeah....but we h--have to keep this u--up.....we c--can't lose.....' ' I know....but you can't keep this up.....' ' T--Tch.....' I continued to fight on as Mark shot some of them for me in a distance and I'm happy to know he has my back. The nightmares kept coming back for more and I can't keep it up and neither could Mark since he is also limited to his bullets and strength to use the magical bullets. I was pushed all the way back and I was already panting hard trying to keep up with the loads of blood that I lost. ' D--Dammit.....I--I can't k--keep this up.....' ' Is it a time for retreat?.....' ' N--No.....t--they're gonna terrorize me.....i--if I leave them live.....' ' But do you can't keep this up for long.....you're going to die of too much blood lost......' ' I--I....need to continue f--fighting.....'
