"TAG! You're it!" Someone shoved me on my left shoulder.

"Hey! That wasn't fair! I was itching my elbow you little brat!" I hollered as he ran off in the opposite.

"Neh neh-neh boo boo! You can't catch me!"

He stuck his hands up to his head, fingers spread and thumbs in his ears. His face was scrunched and his tongue was sticking out at me.

"What the poop are you doing?" My 7 year old self said. "You better run before I get you!"

"You couldn't catch a snail even if you went a bugillion twenty-six kugillion forty trillion and five times faster than you already do!" He had his arms crossed and was looking up at the sky.

While he wasn't paying attention, I decided now was my chance to get him. I was running towards him, about 2 feet away, when I tripped on rock. I had no chance of keeping my balance, so I flung my arms in front of me to try to catch something to keep myself up. All I did was push him down to the ground and fall on top of him.

"Umph-you are so clumsy!" He stood up, holding hand out for me to grab.

I looked from his hand to his caramel brown eyes.

"C'mon! It's time to get up! C'mon Rachel!" His voice started to fade away. "C'mon..."

"C'mon! You have school!"

I stretched my arm out in the direction of the voice. I wish it would just be quiet so I could sleep! I put my hand back down when I felt something wet. I opened up eyes to see Aunt Lisa sitting on my bed.

"You do realize that you just put your hand in my mouth right?" She had a smile on her face. I don't understand how she can be so happy and smiley at 6 in the morn- 6 IN THE MORNING? Uuuuuggh.... I want to just sleep.

"Let's go! Get up so you can get ready and eat! I made some bacon!!!"

"Bacon..." Was all I could mumble before she slapped my butt and started to walk towards the door.

"We're leaving at 7:15!"

School. Yay! Note the sarcasm...

After a nice cool shower, not too hot and not too cold because it was too hot outside already and this way I'll be awake faster, a yummy bowl of mixed fruit and a side of bacon, we were out the door.

I decided on faded, ripped, blue jean shorts with an orange tank top and white sandals. According to the car thermometer thingy, it was 73°F. At least summer was just about over in about... Never! Arizona is almost always warm!

Welcome to Bridgemon Highschool, Home of the Panthers read the sign. Wow. I haven't stepped foot on this property since 5th grade graduation. It's weird being back.

"Have a nice day. Just go to the office and they'll help you out. I called them this morning. Love you sweetie!"

She was already gone before I could reply so I just awkwardly stood there and waved at the rear of the car. I probably looked weird. A strange girl standing on the sidewalk waving at nothing.

I brushed my dirty blonde hair back with my fingers. It fell just above the waist line of my shorts.

I looked over to see 2 people walking in the school and glancing at me. Got a problem people? I'm pretty sure there are more interesting things to look at. People these days. I probably should make my way that way, too, so I can get to the office and so I don't get more weird looks.

I walked up the front steps and through the doors. Groups of teens were everywhere; Walking throught the halls, standing by lockers, it all seemed so chaotic. I wasn't used to it. I just sort of stood there and watched everyone in their wild enviornment, some even watching me. I was an outsider.

Someone from behind ran into me and I had to take a couple steps to make sure that I didn't fall over.

"Awe, dude! You okay?" A voice asked.

"Yeah, I'm--"

"Not you!"

Oh... well fine then. Oooooooh man I wanted to just turn around and smack however many a-holes were behind me. But I didn't. I'm not going to start my new year off and have people think I'm a stuck up bitch. So when I turned around, I had my eyes on the ground, and took slow breathes so I was less tempted to go through with punching someone.

A small laugh came from a different guy, "Yeah. I'm fine," obviously the guy that ran into me, "this dumb bitch just needs to watch where she's going." Well I guess it didn't matter if I slapped them or not.

I finally decide to look up, and even though it wasn't my fault, I apologize. "I'm, uh, sorry?" He was tall, probably about 6'2'', not too buff, but he had muscles, and he had brown hair that was spiked in the front and gorgeous caramel brown eyes. He was wearing a black OBEY tank and dark jeans. He even had a diamond earing. He looked like your basic pretty boy. I made eye contact with him, and he stared at me a little longer than I expected him to. Why is he staring at me? Please stop!

"Whatever man, let's just go." The pretty boy's friend said. My eyes were still locked with his, though. His friend slapped him on the back and pushed in the direction behind me. I broke eye contact and made my way the opposite direction of them. When I looked back one last time, I watched as he did the same.

Locker number 902 and combination 2-42-4, at least it's easy to remember. I looked to my left and there was a couple, about 7 down from mine, that was making out. Like to the point where it was barely pg-13. Oh my goodness people, can't you wait for after school? Y'all are so grody!

I threw my bag on the hook, grabbed my empty folders, notebook, and pencil box, and made my way to first hour. I had a slight problem; I had no clue where my first hour was.

I was trying to find someone to ask but everyone seemed involved in conversations that I didn't really want to interrupt. So I just made my way down the hallway, hoping to find a teacher or someone that would help me. A bell rang and everybody started to scatter. What was that? The five minute bell? The ONE minute bell? Oh my gosh. I'm going to be late on the first day of school!

I was looking at the names on the doors to my left when I ran into someone... Again! This time it was my fault, and I automatically apologized. But unlike last time, I meant it. "I'm so so sorry!"

He looked at me and half smiled, and by the time he was done talking, it was a full, beautiful smile. "Nah. No need to apologize. It was an accident." He was kinda dreamy. He had longish blonde hair that was just above his eyebrow, blonde, and was naturally messy, but still looked very good on him. He also had beautiful blue eyes. Maaaan I've always been a sucker for blue eyes. And he looked very attractive in his plain white t-shirt, the outline of his muscles showing. "My name is Dylan."

"My name is Rachel. It's nice to meet you." We sat there and smiled at each other for what seemed like minutes before I finally said something. "Um, so I'm new here and I was wondering if you could help me find a Mrs-"

"Adams?"

"Yeeeeah... How'd you know?"

"Just a lucky guess. That's my first hour, too!"

The class was almost on the other side of the school. I guess I'm going to have to leave my locker sooner because Dylan and I showed up two minutes late. When we arrived, the class had already taken their assigned seats. I didn't have to do any of the typical "new kid" introduction because the whole class was going to do a "get to know you" thing.

"Everything is going to be a bit chaotic the today and probably tomorrow, so the tardy will slide today. Now Dylan, you will be sitting over by Mrs. Collier. And you, Rachel, will be sitting by Mr. Pennington."

Pennington...
