The room was dark, sweaty bodies everywhere. Loud music was pumped through speakers, I could barely hear myself think. Everyone had a mask settled on their nose, hiding their identities from every one else. Even I had a mask upon my face, hiding who I was.
I looked down at my tight, red, strapless dress and smoothed it out. I checked to make sure everything was perfect, because I always cared about my appearance, even if I was just running to the store. I seem to be very self-conscious of myself, I don't like being judged really. It's awful feeling that way, I know, but I cannot help myself.
Adjusting my mask and dress once more, I entered the room. Dances had always been a soft spot for me. I love dancing and meeting people, it's exhilarating really. Looking around I noticed that most people that were dancing were pressed up against each other, grinding on one another or swaping spit. I smirked to myself because that will be me soon. I never hold back, I came to have fun and I intend to do so.
No, I didn't come to this Masquerade club just to hook up with guys, I came to let go. Stress is a big thing in my life, and coming here really helps me let go of it all and live.
I sat down at the bar, ordering myself a beer, once I got my drink I took a swig and turned around, once again looking at all the people here. Most were so drunk they could barely walk, others were dancing or standing by there self awkwardly. But there was one guy, standing by himself in the front of the club, staring as well.
He looked to be about my age, maybe older. His hair was a dirty-blondish color and very curly. He had just a plain black mask on and a suit with a plain black tie. He was handsome to say the least, intriguing actually. But I looked away for 5 minutes and he was gone.
He had me wondering about him. I only looked at him, yet I couldn't get him off my mind. All of a sudden there was a tap on my shoulder startling me. I looked up to be met with beautiful hazel eyes.
"Hello love, I couldn't help but to notice how beautiful you are, and a beautiful woman like you should not be alone, mind if I sit?" It was the boy from the front of the club, and I must say he was even prettier up close.
"Oh, um thank you, and please do." I smiled up at him.
For about a good 20 minutes we talked about each other. Not once did we catch each others name. He was so interesting, He was in a band with 3 of his best friends, and he was 19, like me. He has traveled the world, but wishes to go to more travel to Asia. I found myself getting lost in his words which is very rare for me.
I'm the type of a person to not be so interested in relationships. Hooking up is my forte, I don't like being tied down, but there is something about him, and I can't quite put my tongue on it.
The mystery boy snapped his fingers in front of my face.
"So do you want to?" he asked but I just looked at him confused. "Dance, do you want to dance with me?" I nodded with a slight tinge of red to my cheeks from embarrassment. I took his outstretched arm as he guided us to the dance floor.
With in a flash of a second I was pulled into him. My bottom pressed against to crotch and my back to his chest. We moved to the beat in sync, us moving as one. He grabbed my arm and put it around his neck.
"God, you are so beautiful." he whispered in my ear, sending shivers down my spine.
This was so strange to me. Men have really never had this affect on me, and it was all so weird.
We danced together the whole rest of the night, till I realized at about 3 in the morning that I had work in about 3 hours.
I quickly unwrapped myself from him. Looking him in the eyes.
"I'm-uh, I'm sorry, but I have to go. I have work soon." His face fell.
"Oh, okay, I understand." I nodded and started to walk away, before he grabbed my arm and pulled me back to him. He studied my face for about 5 seconds before pulling me in for a kiss. I was surprised at first, but ended up kissing back. I know it's very cliche, but I seriously felt fireworks and butterflies. "I want to see you again.." I wasen't ready to just give my number out to him. He was great and I felt such a strong connection, but I just wasn't ready.
"I come every Friday night, see you then um.." If he asks my name, I'm just going to give him and alias, a fake name, just incase.
"Oh, I'm um, I'm Justin." He made a weird face before asking me mine.
"I'm Lilly." I smiled and he kissed my lips once more.
"well Lilly, I will see you next friday 11 o'clock sharp." I nodded and he once again kissed my lips before walking away.
I knew one thing, that I was looking forward to next friday, but what I didn't know was what I was getting myself into, but I could really care less.
