"Alright, this seems like a good place to rest," Finn stated, slinging down his own satchel.

"We should eat something: we've been moving for hours." Scarlett added. She threw her satchel at the Earth elemental, and explained, "Look through there. Pick whatever we could heat up while I check the area."

Scarlett turned around and looked through the trees, checking for anything more that could attack them.

Honestly, she thought, You've defeated a manticore. Could it get worse?

After looking through the area, the place seemed all clear, so she returned to see Finn resting on his back, arm over his eyes.

Of course he slacked off, the Fire elemental thought.

"I think it's about time I owe you an explanation," Scarlett chuckled slightly.

"About time?" Finn repeated surprised.

"Yeah, yeah Grassling. But this is serious. We...we have to save the world."

He shot up from resting, widening his eyes. Scarlett immediately knew this was a bad way to start. Either way, she continued.

"It's...it's all in the prophecy. We are part of a prophecy. Professor Nova, she told me, but didn't tell me exactly what we were up against. I guess if I ended up here in the forest with you, you are part of the prophecy as well, but the whole thing is mainly around me."

"Do...do you have the prophecy."

"Uh..." Scarlett hesitated, then looked at the satchel.

She reached over to it and pulled it onto her lap. All of a sudden, the button started glowing light red, and Scarlett's mind went black. The only thing she saw in her head was a piece of old paper floating in darkness. In the speed of light, her kind restored to reality, and a piece of paper was at her feet. It seemed teared at the bottom, but either way she grabbed it and looked to Finn. He didn't seem to notice what she saw.

Holding it in her fingers, the girl read,

"As morning comes to end,
The warrior will ascend,
And their powers at full will,
And others admire still.
Bright to the core,
From land to shore,
As we near the last call,
There is faith we won't fall."

Finn looked at his hands and managed out, "This is insane. I always thought I'd want to be the hero, but now I'm not so sure. What'll happen to my dad, or my little sister. I never got a chance to say goodbye."

Scarlett's eyes softened and touched his shoulder, "If we fight, against whatever there is, we will see our families again. They are depending on us, but for now, let's just rest."

He nodded and responded, "I'll gather the wood for the fire."

They both stood up and got to work. Finn extended his arm and gathered pieces of wood that Scarlett didn't know were there. Scarlett reached into the bag and pulled out a can that said 'Canned Vegetables'. Once Finn formed the wood into a small pyramid shape, Scarlett lit the fire, and held the can up by controlling the flames as it cooked at the same time.

"So, did Professor Nova give you any idea of what we're up against," Finn asked randomly.

"No, but-"

Out of the trees, a little light was floating, just like the Vision the professor sent. Scarlett gasped and widened her eyes, then her mind went blank.

Finn was staring back at her, his face scratched up and grimy. A concerned look was plastered on his face, but all of a sudden a rumble came from behind him.
Scarlett widened her eyes and Finn moved to her side, now both of them facing the menace. A giant hand reached up from the horizon, then another, and then a head rose from the edge. Its eyes were glowing white, like two colorless Suns. A large wind was blowing, barely enough for the pair to stay standing. Once the giant 'person' had completely climbed up in front of them, they sent their giant fist hurdling to the ground.

Once Scarlett had jumped back to reality, she breathed in, as though her lungs had stopped working while she saw the Vision. Finn was sitting next to her, a slightly scared look on his face.

"Did you see that," Scarlett hastily asked.

"Saw what?"

"I guess not. I just got a Vision. Professor Nova sent me one once before," Scarlett pressed her upper wrist against her forehead,"to see if I was the subject of the prophecy."

"Well, what'd you see," Finn persisted.

"I...I think it was what we have to defeat. You were standing next to me, but we were all scratched up and stuff. All of a sudden a hand reached over the edge of what I think was a cliff or something, then when the whole thing climbed over it sent a punch to the ground, and that's when it ended. The creature was like ten times the size of a giant, but it looked demonic. I think that's what we need to defeat, but I don't know where to go."

"By what you described, I have no clue what it is. Tomorrow morning we'll find the next kingdom, or civilization at least, then research it at a library."

"Okay, but I need to rest: my head bloody hurts."

Finn nodded, and the two ate their food as the sun set, then Scarlett fell asleep. Finn stayed up to keep watch, then will wake up Scarlett at midnight for her turn. As she slept, her pain faded mostly, but one little feeling still lingered, but wasn't sure if it was pain.

This is insane, Finn had contemplated, I hope this is true and that she hasn't gone mental.
