Had to rewrite because Wattpad erased all of it for some reason. Sorry for the confusion, and I hope this version will suffice. I suggest reading this, for I've added something else to the plot!

A heavy screech shook the sides of the mountain and even the skulls of the Scarlett and Finn.

Grunting, the fiery girl stood to her feet and stumbled to the side with imbalance.

A wincing sound from above caused a pit in her stomach as her eyes slowly veered up. The abominable creature bared its ugly teeth. As though that wasn't already enough, a large, muscled creature hopped off her back to join her: Jaxon, a.k.a. the ogre. He still remained in typical ogre form but was an obstacle nonetheless.

"Stronger," the ghoul growled chillingly, slowly blinking all of her eyes.

Tawdrey, if you could even still call her a human name, leaned back with a substantial breath. Widening her eyes, Scarlett raised her hands to form a shield, but the piercing roar filled the air, followed by an immense gust of wind.

Flailing, the two elementals were sent straight into two trees, where Finn was taken aback and slammed right into the truck into a tree face-first. However, Scarlett had been hurled into the branches, where she clung on until the force made many lacerations on her fingers and caused her to let go, rolling on the ground.

"Finn!"

The girl crawled back up, glancing down at her wounds, then hastily running towards her companion in worry. For a second, Scarlett forgot about the beasts ahead as her fingers examined Finn's wounds. His nose was surely broken and vividly bleeding, accompanied by a large gash on his forehead.

"Oh no. Oh no no no! Finn!"

Her finger lightly grazed his exposed forehead with a shaky finger, afraid of damaging it any more.

"DESTROY!" A deep voice echoed through the air with the unwieldy footsteps following.

With a facile pull of her tied hair, pain shot through her head, then her body that was thrown onto the top of a tree. The skin was greeted by pain-inducing pine needles and scrape-motivating rough bark.

Scarlett slowly looked up, gazing through the greenery at the beasts below: both were creeping towards a helpless Finn. A fear rose up for Finn which didn't want to see him beaten to a pulp that caused Scarlett to do one of the dumbest and most spontaneous actions anyone would do.

At the speed of light, her body was free falling in the air, the wind whistling past her ears and her hands in front of her, ready to latch onto the evolved beast's scaly back. She screamed from terror, regret, and to let Tawdrey know what she had coming to her.

"DON'T YOU DARE!" Scarlett cried over the realization of the two enemies.

To and fro, both the creature and the girl went in an attempt to separate one from the other. While grasping onto a horn on the back, a shaking was felt under her body. She turned around to see the nasty ogre on and desperately clawing at Scarlett's feet, his stubby fingers grazing against the heel of her foot.

Scarlett didn't even hesitate to flame the barbaric being to the ground and hear its painful cries. Horns on Tawdrey's back pierced at Jaxon's ogre form and Tawdrey shrieked with regret and anger as she felt the limp weight of her partner fall off of her. The Fire elemental felt a surge of adrenaline and ascended up the final creature to reach the head.

In a successful attempt to slow the girl down from reaching her weakest spot, the ghoul swung oscillated her razor claws up in defense. One of the worst feelings of pain struck through Scarlett's face like a bolt of lightning when the claw slashed across the left of her face and through her pupil. Warm blood gushed out of the lesion and blinding the sight of her left eye with red agony.

"ARGH!"

Scarlett's hand shot up to her eye, which quickly was pouring with blood as well, then fell off back-first onto the forest floor. The wind knocked out of her caused her vision to worsen even more, but nonetheless was able to feel the hot breath of Tawdrey looming over her like a predator to its prey. With an ear-piercing screech, Scarlett did the last thing that she could do: keeping her hand on her eye, she shot flames into the mouth of the enemy with her right hand.

Jerking away at the sudden pain, the ghoul raged in fiery torment as the flames engulfed her from the inside out. She twisted and turned in every pursuit to extinguish the fire, getting farther and farther back from the wounded warrior. At the sound of a giant crash, Tawdrey slammed into the side of the mountain. Everything shook with the force of the monument falling down on her and the avalanche raining down like an antithetical waterfall.

A final cry of misery was heard before nature finished her off. Silence became known through the wilderness.

Dust from the aftermath clouded the environment, filling the vision of Scarlett when she finally decided to close her lids in a sleep that when woken up from would not bring good fortune.
