A violent shaking woke Scarlett as she angrily opened her eyes. Finn had his hand on her shoulder and his eyes had a slight red tint to them. He was exhausted from keeping watch, but waking up to do such a boring and bothersome chore is exhausting as well."Ugh," Scarlett angrily complained, "I'm going, I'm going. Shut up."
"Just get up, Sparky. I'm tired out of my mind."
"Sparky? What's that supposed to mean?"
"Since Fires have sparks, I just thought I'll call you Sparky."
"Whatever, just go to sleep Grassling."
"Shut up," he annoyingly mumbled as he laid his head on a pile of leaves and covered himself with his coat.
Scarlett looked into her satchel and pulled out a pocket watch. It read 12:02 AM, and she mentally groaned.
We'll leave at 6:15, she agreed with herself, that should give us enough time to look for the next civilization.
The Fire next to her was still flaming but was much smaller than before. Sitting against a log, Scarlett sat bored, constantly checking the time until it became 1 AM, and that's when she had it.
Maybe there's a way to keep the force field up so I can sleep, Scarlett considered.
Channeling her Fire strength, Scarlett released all into the force field. Her arms were in the 'x' position as always, and pressuring herself to put a lot of power into the force field, she released her arms, but the bubble disappeared as well.
Ok, concentrate like you did with your Fire ring. Focus.
Building up her strength, the Fire elemental formed an 'x' shape, and quickly released it with much force. The force field glowed a bit and dug into the ground like a tent. Scarlett moved around, and the field stayed put.
Wow, Scarlett thought, impressed with herself.
She removed her satchel and settled it under her head like a pillow. The force field was giving off some warmth since its power was created by a Fire elemental. Turning over on her side, the girl closed her eyes reassuringly and slept, feeling peaceful since a long time.

Scarlett opened her eyes to the sound of sizzling food, but the smell was horrid. She rubbed her eyes and yawned, turning around to see Finn squatted in front of a Fire. He seemed focused on cooking the can and fashioned his own way to hold it over the Fire. Taking two sticks, he took the can's wrapper and unglued the bottom. Then he stuck the sticks under the wrapper, and into the ground, like a triangle-shape.
"Ugh, what is that smell," Scarlett disgustingly inquired.
"Egg in a Can," Finn chuckled, knowing how gross the 'food' was.
"That gross food from our childhoods? I thought they stopped making that stuff."
"They still sell it. The factories had loads left over, so naturally, they attempted to sell it all."
"Is this really the best you could find?"
"Well, your head was on the satchel, so I pulled out what I could get. Get some silverware, will you?"
"If we have any," Scarlett mumbled. Shoving her hand into the bag, Scarlett fished around for any forks, coincidentally finding two metal utensils. "Hm, turns out we do. Here."
