I woke up more confused than I normally did.  There was my friend Josh at the end of my bed talking to this girl with neon blue hair.  I tried to speak but my mouth was dry.  I blacked out again.

The next time I woke up the girl was there again "Oh you're up about time, you know you talk a lot in your sleep." I tried to get up and failed and had to get her help. "Careful you might rip your sutures and I don't want to put them back in."

She handed me a drink and I took a sip, it was amazing it tasted like my mom's blue cake and it made me feel like I had more energy. "What is this? It's amazing!" She smiled "It's called nectar, the drink of the gods."

"The what's now?" I probably looked really stupid.  "Oh that's right Josh never talked with you.  He said he'd be back soon."  The realization kicked in and I looked around the room there were about a hundred beds maybe more.  There were all sorts of medical things that I don't know the names of and I'm not going to try to learn.

The girl seen my confusion "Don't worry you're at Camp Half-Blood it's a safe place for people like us.  Oh, I'm sorry I never introduced myself I'm Orchid, daughter of Apollo."

"So I made it to Camp?" She nodded "Sure did sweet pea." What did she call me? "Any-who you feeling up to walk? I can show you around camp till Josh gets back," she smiled.  I nodded there was something about her smile, it was like it put you in a good mood just seeing it.

I got up and walked slowly out of what she called the infirmary.  It was a nice day out, the sky was blue, the grass bright green, and it was a perfect temperature not too warm and not too cold.

"Okay, so there is a cabin for most of the Greek gods and goddesses.  Hera's is just here out of respect because she is the queen of the gods.  Artemis's is only used if any of her huntresses come by and need somewhere to stay."  We walked around each cabin, with her telling me a little about the god or goddess that it was for.

We got to this red cabin with barbed wire around it with weapons everywhere it pretty much looked the coolest in my opinion.  "This is the Ares cabin he's the god of war and bloodshed.  Watch out for them during capture the flag."

"Can't be that bad," I said still admiring the cabin.  "Oh it is, I once had thirty people to work on after last weeks game.  Thing is only twenty people played."

We started walking again and stopped "This is where you'll be staying till you're claimed.  It's the Hermes cabin god of travelers, he also known as the messenger of the gods, and thievery so watch your belongings."

I was kinda disappointed that I had to stay here.  It already looked like if you added any more people it would explode.

I didn't have anything with me to save a small spot on the floor and even if I did I wouldn't leave it there to get stolen.  "I'll tell someone to save a space," Orchid said walking to one of the campers that I assumed stayed in cabin eleven.

She came back "All set, after capture the flag you are free to go to the cabin," she smiled.  "Okay question what is capture the flag? You don't mean the stupid game kids play?

"Haha no, it's a lot better than that.  We take it pretty seriously, we use real weapons and everything.  The Ares and Athena head counselors are in charge of picking the teams because of their godly parents having to do with war or battle strategy."

It was a few hours later and the game was about to begin.  I was on the blue team.  I walk over and was handed armor and a helmet.  "Pick a weapon," said one of my teammates.

I took the sword that Josh gave me and pushed the button on the ring, turning it into a sword. A loud horn blew and the game was starting. "You're going to be here and protecting the flag, got it?" The head of the Athena cabin asked.  I nodded and ran to my position.

I kept my guard up being the new kid they would most likely want to go after me, to put me in my place and keep their reputation up.  Well, that's not happening.  I'll bring them to their feet and show them who's boss.

I waited for a while and finally heard whispering and footsteps.  I saw three of them walk towards me one girl two boys.  The girl was the head counselor of the Ares cabin and the look in her eyes told me why.  No one would ever dare mess with her.

The guy on the left ran towards me full force and swung his sword, I blocked it and slashed his arm in a place the armor was not covering.  Then to keep him down I punched him in the face and it actually worked. "Awesome! Hope you two are a little more difficult to take down."

They both ran to me the boy slashed at me but I dodged it, but the girl's spear had hit me in the foot.  I fall to the ground "Who's laughing now?" she said in a loud voice.  I got up I was not letting them win, "Still me,"  I laughed though I was not sure why.  She kept a straight face however the boy looked scared.

I ran at them my sword in hand she blocked it and hit me in the stomach with her spear then it shocked me so much I started seeing black spots.  She finally stopped and I laid on the ground in pain, I'm pretty sure she broke my ribs.

"Get up! You will not lay there like a weak bag of bones!"

The voice again, was it trying to give me a pep talk or make me feel worse? I suddenly got a burst of energy when I grabbed for my sword "You never learn, do you?" the girl spoke.

I got up and slash her face and stabbed the boy in the ankle. "I guess not." I looked up to see everyone standing around the area looking at me. The girl was about to hit me again but before that could happen red dust appeared above my head.  After that everything went black.
