chapter 4

Annie's P.O.V -
Hayden and his family just left. I couldn't believe what had just happened. We are together. at last. oh my god. I head into my bathroom to get ready for bed. I jump in the shower and wash my hair and face and body and then get out. I brush my teeth and hair and then put on my sweatpants and my hayden t shirt and crawl into my bed. Mom comes in to say goodnight. She leans over and gives me a kiss. she doesn't say anything about Hayden because she knows I'll be embarrassed. then daddy comes in and I know he'll make a big deal of it. he comes and sits on my bed. "Annie, please be careful. I trust Hayden and I trust you. Don't let him hurt you. Ok?" He smiles. "Of course daddy" I say as I sit up and give him a kiss. After they both leave, I hear them shut their bedroom door and go to sleep. I grab my phone off my nightstand and text Hayden-

Annie- hayden I'm so glad we're together.

Hayden- me too. I love you. And in that way.

I turn on my music and then go to bed. I fall asleep thinking of Hayden.

*dream*

I'm walking into school as I see the one thing I'll never unsee. I see Hayden kissing another girl. we had been together and I thought we had something but I guess Hayden's like that. I turn around crying just to bump into Caleb.

"Great just what I needed" I sigh.

"ans, what's wrong??" Caleb asks, grasping my shoulders.

"Caleb, Hayden cheated on me" I cry.

"How do you know that for sure?" Caleb frowns.

"Look. Right over there!" I yell.

Caleb looks over to see where Hayden is making out with another girl. He frowns and starts to storm over. I quickly grab him by the sleeve and pull him back.

"Annie stop!" Caleb yells.

"No, just let him be the jerk he is." I say.

Caleb rolls his eyes and continues to March over to him. I sink to the ground, not wanting to be a part of this. Caleb runs over and punches Hayden. Hayden frowns and punches him back.

"What the heck man?!" Hayden yells.

"You cheated on my sister!" I yell.

"god. Really? Oh my god I don't give a crap about annie!" Hayden yells.

I gasp as I pull my legs to my chest.

"Oh really? What about all those times you said you loved her? Huh? All those times?" Caleb shouts.

"Lies Caleb. Lies." Hayden laughs.

Finally Caleb walks away towards me and says "I'm so sorry Annie. I love you"

*end of dream*

I sit straight up in my bed and start to cry. I text Hayden and tell him to come over and I'll meet him on the roof. About 20 min later he texts me saying he's here. I climb out my window and walk to the roof. Hayden is sitting with a concerned look on his face.

"What's wrong?!" Hayden says protectively.

"I had a horrible dream that you cheated on me and Caleb was still alive and he punched you and you said you didn't love me and you kissed another girl right in front of me!" I cry.

Hayden pulls me into his chest and let's me cry. He strokes my hair. " I would never do that Annie" he promises. I nod and fall into his arms. It's 3 am.

"Hayden you better get home." I sigh.

"You sure you're ok?" He asks.

I nod and start to climb back down. I make it back into my room and sit in my chair and play on my phone since there is no way I'm going back to sleep. I see Hayden jump off and wave goodbye. I wave goodbye.

God. He's the best.
