chapter 6

Annie's P.O.V-
And then he rolls over and kisses me on the lips. It surprises me at first, but I like it. it was gentle and quick. Not one of those super long ones you see in the movies. at first I must've seemed tense because he starts to back away but I loosen up and smile into the kiss while it lasts.

after we pull apart, I look into his eyes. he smiles the biggest smile I've ever seen. I roll over into his arms and we sit there together for a while. after a while, we pack up the blanket and walk hand in hand around the pier. It is almost sunset, so we decide to go on the Ferris wheel. We get on and it goes nice and slow. When we get to the top, the sun sets. It was beautiful. we took some selfies and they were super cute. we went around the wheel two more times and then we got off. by then, we stopped at an ice cream place and got ice cream. It was good. We then met up with Hayden's dad to take us home.

In the car, Hayden blurts out, "dad I kissed Annie" he blushes, realizing what he just said.

"um...ok.....?" He says.

"yeah...." Hayden replies.

I giggle and lean into his shoulder. He blushes a dark shade of red. I hold his hand and laugh.

We eventually get back to my house. Hayden walks me to the door. Before I go in, he gives me a hug, and kisses my cheek. I head inside.

I run upstairs and get ready for bed. That was the best day of my life.
