Allison took a moment to just admire the beauty of this small town, and she might have snuck a few glances at Kol while she was at it. But when she did, by the look on this face, this town wasn't as lovely as it seemed.

"Come along now, love". Kol said, seeming a bit distracted.

"So where are we going? Because you can't just drag me to some random place without telling me where." Allison stated, Kol's unsettled attitude rubbing off on her.

"Well, first I'm going to take you to the place where I was raised, before this town was even founded."

"And where is that?" Allison questioned, "Wait, you're a vampire right?"

"I believe we went over this, darling."

"Not really, you just dropped the whole "I'm a vampire" bomb on me and then now we're here."

"Alright, so perhaps I haven't been very clear." Kol says, clearly taken back, not expecting such a burst of sass from the girl who hadn't even come to terms with her death.

"I have one question so far, how old are you?"

"Well, I am one of the oldest vampires on the earth. Or at least I was, until that god damn wannabe hunter Jeremy Gilbert decided to off with me to find that idiotic cure." Kol said, visibly becoming more tense. Making Allison decide that she should steer away from the obviously still sore wound.

"So how are we going to get to your birthplace?"

"I have no idea if this shall work anymore considering I'm dead, but vampires have increased senses, much like your werewolf friends, but we can also run very quickly. What did the newbie vampires call it again? Oh right, vamp speed."

"Well, why don't you give it a try then, Kol."

Before she could even process what was happening, Kol had grabbed onto her waist and they were in a clearing in the woods within a matter of seconds.

"So are you going to start anytime soon?" Allison said, only after the words escaped her mouth, did she notice the faraway look in Kol's eyes.

"What was that, darling? I'm terribly sorry, I haven't been back here in centuries." Kol says, snapping back to reality. "Oh right, I guess I should start about now, considering what a curious little thing you are. It all began with my parents, Mikael and Esther, and the tragedy of losing their first child, Freya to terrible disease back in Europe. My mother heard from a close witch friend, Ayana, that there was a place where everyone was healthy and strong."

"Wait a second, witch?" Allison interrupting, for the first time realizing how much Dr. Deaton had kept from them.

"All in good time, love. Anyways, the mysterious new land turned out to be what your historians call the New World. And little did my parents know, the people living there were the first of the werewolves. But all was well, Mikael and Esther traveled to the New World, bore me and my siblings - Niklaus, Rebekah, Elijah, Finn, and the youngest, Henrik -, and lived in harmony with our not so natural neighbors."

"Wait, so you were all human? What went wrong?" Allison says, truly intrigued.

"One night, Niklaus and Henrik ventured into the woods, and the next thing we knew, Henrik was lying, dead in Niklaus' arms, mauled to death. I think you can guess how."

"Oh my god, it was a full moon wasn't it." Allison questions, with a horrified look.

"I believe that my parents couldn't take the pain of losing another child, and against Ayana's wishes, my father convinced my mother to do a very powerful spell and put it in our wine that night, and then while we slept, he came in and stabbed us all. For we were to awaken as vampires." Kol said, with a look that made Allison assume he was reliving that moment once more.

"So your father just killed you in cold blood?" Allison asks, not completely processing this at first. Thinking back, she was slowly remembering glimpses of a conversation Dr. Deaton had with her quite a while ago, something about creatures of the night. Only now did she truly get what he had implied, cursing Deaton's Yoda-like advice.

"Trust me, darling, if you had met him, you wouldn't have expected any less." Kol grimaced, the hatred for his father easily identifiable on his face. "Enough of that darling, let us take a break, where have you always wanted to go?"

"I've always wanted to go to Beijing, but as you see I never had the time." Says Allison, noting how Kol quickly changed the topic.

"Well I'll make sure we visit there one day, but I bet you are just dying to know more about me and my species, so perhaps we can stay in this dreadful town just a bit longer."

And so Kol took her by the waist - again, honestly she was getting a bit agitated with that now - and soon they were back in the town square.

So I'm thinking of having Kol and Allison visiting different places every chapter? What do you think?
