Quick note: I'm gonna write this chapter in first person just to see how it looks.

I woke up shaking the tiredness from me legs and arms. It was Sunday, so we had no training today.

I had no plans, I guess I could head down to the closest town like some of the others. But I think I would prefer to stay here and chill.

I sighed and stood up. I walked quickly over to the bathroom and got changed into my uniform. I smiled feeling fresh as I walked down to breakfast.

"He (Y/N)." Sasha yawned. She and a couple of other cadets were eating breakfast. The others were probably in town.

I grabbed a bowl of brown mushy stuff and sat down across from my friend. I finished quickly and cleaned up.

Then, I sat back down not sure what to do next. "All the others went to town?" I asked Sasha. She nodded and flopped her head onto the table.

I had an idea. I smiled at Sasha and quickly ran back to the room. I grabbed a deck of playing cards and jogged back to the table. Sasha smiled and we started playing card games.

"Again (Y/N)! How do you get so good!" Sasha laughed as I beat her for the 3rd time in a row.

I cracked my knuckles."It takes years of practice." You smirk.

Sasha snorts and then you and her begin laughing. Sasha face turns all red and she can barely breath.

I laugh at her tomato like face and shuffle the deck again. We split the cards and play another round.

Sasha won this time and she stood up on the table and did some sort of victory dance. I smiled secretly knowing that I let her win that round.

"(Y/N)! Captain Levi wanted to see you in his office." Said a cadet I forgot the name of.

"Alrighty, here you better beat her." I smile handing the guy the cards.

He looked confused for a moment, then he smiled and sat down across from Sasha shuffling the cards.

"Good luck with Captain Shorty (Y/N)!" Sasha hollers as I walk out of the breakfast hall.

I sigh knowing that the captain probably wanted me to clean something or wanted someone to yell at in general.

My shoulders slumped forward as I got closer to the office.

I then fixed my posture and knocked on the door.

"State your name and business." Said an arrogant voice from inside.

I rolled my eyes. Why does he say this when he knows I'm coming?

"(Y/N) (L/N), you asked me to come sir." You said blandly waiting for a response.

There was no answer for a second before you heard someone move around from the inside.

"Come in." You heard. But the voice from somewhere different inside the room.

I was confused for a second but then slowly opened the door, not stepping in just yet. But what was really surprising was that there was no one sitting at the desk.

I take a couple steps inside."Hello?" I say. Then I heard the door slam behind me. I spun around and standing right there was captain Levi. What was he doing?

I was standing in the middle of the room, staring at him in confusion.

Then. It happened.

He walked confidently up to me, only and inch away from my face.

I was super nervous. I could feel the sweat running down the side of my head."Um, Captain? What are you—."

He kissed me. My sentence was cut off as his lips met mine.

And for some reason I didn't pull away. I kissed back, enjoying every moment.

He put his arms around my waist and I put mine around his neck. And we stayed there, kissing for what felt like hours.

I eventually pulled away for air. Captain Levi smiled.

"Captain? What- what were you doing." You mumbled, your lips still warm.

"Call me Levi. And it was because I love you (Y/N)." I loved you since the first day we met." He smiled.

FLASHBACK

"Mom? Dad?" I whispered.

I stepped into the crushed house, staring at the dead bodies of my parents.

"N-no. This can't be true." I breath.

I was only thirteen at the time. I just left the house to go get some butter from the shop downtown.

I was gone for half an hour.

I didn't think they would ever break through wall Maria. But here they were, stomping around our small town.

I could see one a couple miles away now. It was at least 10 meters tall and as ugly as hell.

My legs began to shake, not from fear, but from anger.

There had to be something I could do to stop this! Why weren't the scouts or the guards here to help!?

Then my eyes went wide.

Was I the only one left?

I heard something smash from behind me. I spun around and saw a Titan making its way towards me.

It was smaller then the last one. Only 5 meters. But still terrifying.

I didn't scream. I didn't get scared.

I just watched knowing that I was gonna die anyway. There was no one left to help me.

SLICE!

I heard the loud cutting sound as the Titan coming my way froze, then fell forward crushing my neighbors house.

Standing on top of its nape was him. The strongest man in the world.

Captain Levi.

You smiled as he walked toward you with that grim expression.

"How could you be smiling at a time like this? Your surrounded by dead bodies." He said, his face staying the same.

I shrugged. "It's better then being so scared you can't move. That just gets you killed quicker." I say, turning to look at him.

For a second, I though I saw a sign of surprise on his face when I said that.

It went away almost immediately.

"Let's get you out of here." He said. I nodded and let him walk me to the ferries that would take me inside wall Rose.
