Run

Mackenzies POV: I run, faster than I've ever ran before. I can feel the wind brushing my face and onlookers staring at me running down the street in my Blue dance crop and booty shorts. I don't know where I'm running to. I just know that wherever I end up, it'll be a long, long, long way from here. I pause for a second and see what I have in my bag, which I was smart enough to grab before I left. $30, my ALDC tracksuit and a Snack Box of Carrot Sticks and Sushi. I put on my tracksuit over top of my competition gear because its getting cold and walk into a coffee shop on the corner of the street. I sit down and stare at that Menu and a waitress comes over. "Hi! Where's your mommy so I can take your order?" She asks. "She's not here" I say glady before continuing with my order. "Can I get a double Chocola-" I Suddenly I hear my name being called again in the distance "Mackenzie? Mackenzie Zeigler come out!" I grab my bag and take off leaving the waitress holding her pencil and notepad staring at me. "Sorry" I mouth at her before breaking into a run.

Maddie's POV: "MACKENZIE!" I scream at the top op of my lungs. "MACKENZIE ZIEGLER COME OUT!" I sob. I catch sight of her running out of a coffee bar and run after her. "Kenzie!" We dodge through alleyways and enter a shopping complex and I lose her in the crowd of people. "Mackenzie, Come back" I yell and shoppers stare at me. I look like a hot mess. Mascara tears running down my cheeks. My competition gear on all dirtied. I slowly walk myself back towards the car where my mom is waiting. "Did you find her?" She asks me. I shake my head. She shrugs and gets in the car. "We should go out for dinner. Where do you wanna go?" She asks me. "I dunno" I respond. All I can think of is how I let go of Kenzie. The only sister I will ever have. Gone. I wonder if this is my fault- taunting her day after day. Telling her she's not good enough. I lookup at the dark night sky and see a star. I whisper a wish "Star Light. Star Bright. First star I see tonight. I wish I may, I wish I might. Have this wish I wish tonight." I make my wish. "Make sure Kenzie is alright" I say looking up at the star. I look out the window as the night gets darker. "Come home Kenzie."
