Chapter 3

When I reached school, I was late that day and I had to rush to classroom. While I was running then suddenly THUD!!! I fell down while I was climbing the steps. I was hurt very badly that I could not even help myself from getting up and stand for a second.

Then somehow I was able to stand properly with my legs trembling, suddenly someone was also climbing up and the sound of that person's shoes echoed in that corridor for sometime.

It was him; rushing like a hero with his shirt tucked inside his pants perfectly, his coat ironed, shoes polished with a perfection and his hair brushes upwards neatly; John.

"A-Are you alright !? Why are you trembling ? He asked me.

"I actually fell down-" He cut my sentence.

"When ?"

I don't know how to tell him, should I tell him that I am so stupid that I can't even run properly ?

I was looking like a jerk there, my hair became messy and my coat got wrinkled. Suddenly I felt that I couldn't resist myself from standing for not even a second. I was going to fall down then he held me with his arms.

There was silence all over that floor. We were exactly 3 inches far apart.

I could feel his warmly breath and his eyes which are locked with that of mine and are searching for the keys. I was dumbstruck by the position in which we both are there. I was electrified by his touch. There was something which is connecting both of us.

He kept my front hair behind my ear, I was lying in his arms like a girl who is struck by love and was very excited. I don't know what he thought of me when I was looking into his eyes.

He broke the silence by telling that we are getting late to assembly.

"Oh....yeah, we-we're getting late to assembly." I said in a nervous tone. He then lifted me and took me to the classroom.

"Are you sure you're able to walk ?" He asked me with a concerned tone.

He was so concerned about me. He is not leaving me for even a second and kept me busy asking so many questions.

"Um... I think so, but I will manage and-"

"You think so !?" He imitated me."I'm not going to leave you like this. I will be with you here until assembly gets finished."

"No, no, no. Its okay, I'll be fine. The assembly started!! You must go as soon as possible or else you will get caught by our coach for coming late."

"I actually took permission from our Principal as I was feeling a bit dissy and have a little bit of headache." He said by looking down at his fingers, playing with them.

"Oh...then how are you feeling now ?"

"Ah! Finally someone asked me about my health" he said in a low voice which is very very low as his voice is the loudest voice in our class.

"Why do you say like that ?"

"Just like that. My parents actually, they take care of me so much, feel I am not at all feeling well but they do not ask me how I am feeling now." He said in normal voice now.

"They don't ask you because they know that you are feeling well only." I said him thinking he will cool down a bit.

"Hmm.... I think so. Leave this matter, let's talk about something else."

"About what ?" I said as I was confused.

"Shall I tell you something ?" He actually whispered as if the thing which he is going to tell me is a big secret.

"Y-yeah." I said him with a shivering tone.

"If I met you before Annie, I really would have chosen you to be in my heart."

*Long pause*

"Can you be more precise in what you are telling ?" I said when I sensed something, not too good or not too bad, which is going to happen.

"I think I'm being too close to you. I think I'm f-" his sentence was cut by the sound which is coming from the students showing that assembly is finished.

I said my class teacher that I fell down and I apologized for not coming to the assembly. She said it's okay and nothing is more important than one's health.

I wanted to know what he was going to tell me. I sensed that time only when he was telling me about that by his last word or letter's "f".
