the roaring of engines caught jiwoo's attention.
it's somin, late for her sleepover with jiwoo for 3 hours. she knew matthew must be with somin, which explains why she was so late.

matthew gave jiwoo a brief nod and and a slight frown as she helped somin to carry her belongings to her house. as she hurried to her main door, she heard somin's soft voice.

"babe, don't worry too much about it."

about... what?
jiwoo wondered internally, spinning around to ask what happened. the sight that greeted her caught her off guard.

matthew and somin kissing full force right in front of jiwoo made her mind go blank. she put on her usual straight face as usual and went on with her way. out of the corner of her eyes, she saw matthew eyeing her with a small smirk.

inside, jiwoo was a mess. she knew she had to get over somin. she knew she would be hurt in the end. but instead of doing that, she knew deep inside she was only falling inside she was only falling for somin more.

even as she turned her attention to somin who was speaking to matthew, somin was glowing in jiwoo's eyes.

somin was jiwoo's brightest star in her sky, in her galaxy, in her world.
even if other stars die and burn out, she could still live with only somin around.
somin was her light.

and now, to see her light seemingly being stolen to be placed in someone's sky hurts her so much.

"— jiwoo ah~ heol, are you spacing out?" the sweetest voice pulled jiwoo out of her reverie.
"mmm? what do you wanna do today?" jiwoo responded.
"anything? tonight is our night!" somin grinned and beamed her rare, sunshine smile. without warning, she threw her arms around jiwoo.

and jiwoo could only hold her breath from the shock and surprise, to have the person she love the most so close to her.

pabo yah, she can hear the buzzing of your heart.

"... jiwoo yah... i might be leaving this town."

it felt as if her heart plummeted along with her sinking feelings of disappointment and hurt. her hands tug on somin's shirt, curling them into a tight ball.

it felt so horrible, and worse because she knew the reason why.
admitting the fact to herself despite how much she wanted to deny the truth to herself only hurt her more.

somin was falling deeper into matthew,
and all jiwoo could do;
was to watch from afar.
