Warnings: Mentions of suicide
//--//
They were standing on the bridge, the same bridge that drove both of their parents to suicide. They weren't related or anything, they didn't even know each other until two weeks ago. It was two weeks ago since their parents had killed themselves. Nobody knew why. Now they were standing there, at the bridge where everything started. She looked at him with sad eyes. "Jim, please don't I need you." She cried. He just shook his head. "You have to understand. I have to do this" He said and pointed towards the river under the bridge. "No, you don't have to do this," She said, her cheeks soaked with salty tears. She was clutching his flannel, to prevent him from falling. "I'd sell my soul to the devil to get my parents back. You know how broken I was when they died" Her eyes were now red and puffy. He carefully climbed off the railing and hugged her. "I love you, you're like a sister to me. But I can't, I can't go on living like this" He said and moved his arm around, to show her. She looked at him. "If you are going to jump off that bridge, I'm going with you," She told him and looked up at him with determination filling her eyes. He let go of her and carefully climbed on the railing. He reached out his hand to help her. "I'm fine," She said and brushed his hand away. They were just standing there looking out over the city. It was a magnificent sight, the buildings black against the orange morning sky. "It is beautiful, isn't it?" She asked and looked up at him. "It is" He agreed. He was smiling now, both of them were. It was like their smiles were lighting up the city. Like it was them, the two broken human beings who were standing on top of the bridge, who was the only people left in the entire word. "Do you trust me?" He- the boy- asked suddenly. "No, not really," She said, curiosity was sewed into her voice. "Smart girl," He said, and smiled one of his sinister smiles. "Bye,bye," He said and waved at her. He let go of her hand and pushed her. He pushed her into the drak abyss of the river.
