Sitting across the small table, Chuuya gently wrapped the white bandages over Dazai's wounded hand.

They had just gotten back from a mission together. It was simple and easy enough, but the young Double Black didn't get away unscathed. If Chuuya had to be honest, the pair were roughed up pretty bad, but it wasn't the worst injuries they'd ever sustained.

"Does it hurt?" The girl's aching, bruised hands trembled ever so slightly.

"No," the brunette replied curtly.

She looked at him, sapphire eyes glistening with a hint of concern. The boy may have said it without hesitation nor any weakness in his voice, but the tears pricking his single chestnut orb told her otherwise.

". . . Dazai, you don't have to hold back if you're hurt," the redhead said nonchalantly, letting go of his finished wrapped hand.

The bandaged boy stared at her for a moment, searching her face for any sign of ill intent.

"I'm not hurt," his cold chocolate eye shifted to the side, avoiding her gaze.

The hat lover sighed tiredly. It was no use trying to get the irritating suicidal maniac to admit his true feelings. She knew deep down he was in pain, yet the young teen wouldn't express it which in turn only made it worse.

The pair lapsed into silence as Chuuya proceeded to treat the cuts on his face, cleaning the large gash with alcohol.

Dazai released a small, almost inaudible hiss of pain and the girl muttered strings of apology whilst lightly dabbing the wound. After she was satisfied with it, the younger ability user plastered a gauze over his cheek and without a second thought, leaned over the table and planted a soft kiss over the white cotton.

The one eyed mafioso froze. Single orb wide, stunned by the redhead's action.

Chuuya turned her head to the side, heat immediately blooming on her cheeks. "A-Ane-sama said that kisses make it feel better so that's why . . ."

Lips slightly parted, the brunette was at a loss for words.

Finally building up the courage to face Dazai, the red faced ginger took a deep breath and blurted:

". . . Y-You better be grateful, you j-jerk!" She pointed her finger at him hotly.

After a beat of silence, a small genuine smile broke onto Dazai's usually stoic face.

"Thank you, Chuuya."

The gravity manipulator's breath hitched, a fluttering sensation bloomed in her guts, face burning hotter than before. She inwardly shook her head and huffed and turned away, stomping out the room.

"Dumbass!" The door slammed shut.

Dazai tilted his head to the side, confused.

One moment she was nice and then she was angry? Did he do something wrong?

Feeling a headache coming on, the nullifier rubbed his temples with a sigh.

Girls are weird.
