~Mitch's P.O.V~

I woke up to the sound of my alarm. 5:30?! What the hell?! Home schooling didn't start until eight! I groaned sitting up and rubbing my eyes. I wonder who I'll meet today..

Even though I was stressed beyond belief yesterday, I had to admit, I'm actually really excited! I mean, I've always wanted to go to public school, meet new people, and join an actual Choir. I have been a bit of a music geek. I'm a bad ass at reading and playing music, but since I've never really gotten the chance to sing it at a concert or competition, it made me pretty giddy.

I hurriedly got out of bed, and headed to the bathroom. I took a quick shower, using my favorite strawberry scented shampoo, and wrapped a fluffy towel around my lower half. I brushed my teeth and quickly headed back to my room.

I dug through my closet throwing at least three perfectly good outfits on the ground before I came across a nice grey, almost static like, sweater. I smiled at it and threw it on my bed before grabbing a pair of black skinny jeans I threw on the floor prior. I undid my towel, put on a pair of plain black boxers along with my black skinny jeans, and finished it off with the grey sweater.

I went back into the bathroom to blow dry my still damp hair, and brushed it through with a comb. I looked in the mirror and put the rest of my hair into place. Now, DAMN! I LOOK BOMB! I'm usually not the selfie type but... Just once wouldn't hurt. I don't think I've ever looked this good before. I laughed to myself.

I unplugged the blow dryer and put my socks and shoes on before heading downstairs, phone in hand.

"Mornin' Mitch." I sister said with a piece of toast in her mouth. I smiled.

"Good Morning honey." My mother came to me and kissed mt forehead. "You look lovely today." She smiled. I grinned back at her.

"Thanks. I actually tried for once." I said laughing. My sister looked straight at me with a strange look on her face. "What?"

"Mitch, you ALWAYS try to look good. You spend more time in the bathroom than ME! You sometimes even use more makeup than I do." My sister rolled her eyes, and I did the same.

"Whatever. Perfection isn't easy." I winked. She laughed and blew a raspberry toward me. I did one right back at her.

"Now, now children." My mother said. "I swear you two act like you're five again." She rolled her eyes.

I went over to the stove where I saw my mom cooking pancakes and eggs. I sniffed the air taking in the sweet aroma.

"Mmm, I hope you saved some of that for me." I said. My Mom turned to me.

"This IS for you KissyBoy." I laughed.

"You always know what I like." I went over and hugged her and gave her a peck on the cheek. Hey, some people may find it weird, but my family has always done it. We don't mind. She broke the hug and went back to the stove with a spatula in hand. She flipped the pancake onto my plate followed by the eggs. I took the plate and we both took out seats.

"Where's Dad?" I asked, putting a mouthful of the fluffy pancake into my mouth.

"Work." My mom said while cutting an egg.

"This early? It's almost 6:30!" I put down my fork with the pancake half eaten.

"Yes, He has to work a lot earlier now. That's the only downside to his work. Poor thing, he was so tired this morning." My mom said sighing.

The rest of our breakfast time was silent. Well, Until I broke the silence.

"I guess I should get going. It's almost time for school." I said putting the plate in the sink. My mom stood up and gave me a hug.

"Have a great day Mitchy. Meet some new friends and have some fun." My mom said as she smiled at me. I smiled back.

"I will Mom." Not sure about making new friends but... "I'm sure i'll be fine." I broke the hug grabbing my backpack and opening up the door.

"Goodbye KissyBoy! Have a lovely day at school!" My mom somewhat shouted. I waved and went out the door to start my walk to my brand new school.

~Happy Cinco de mayo!~
