~Mitch's P.O.V~

I was nervous and excited at the same time. When I arrived at the school I was greeted with a warm welcoming by, I'm assuming the Principle. He handed me my schedule and was now walking me towards the school's office. He told me that a girl by the name of Kirstin would show me around the school. I nodded and proceeded to look around the magnificent school. It looked really nice.

Once we arrived at the office, he beckoned over a girl who was quite short. Shorter than me anyways. But it made her look cute. She had long blonde hair, presumably dyed maybe? She was wearing a black crop-top and high waisted pants, which covered what the crop-top was supposed to show off. Dress code thing I presume. I smiled and she smiled back reaching out her hand. I took it and shook it introducing myself.

"Hello, I'm Mitch." I said a little awkwardly, but she didn't seem to mind.

"Nice to meet you Mitch! My name is Kirstin. But you can call me Kirstie." She smiled. She grabbed my hand and started out the door pulling me along.

"Come on! We don't have all day! I can show you around and by lunch time we should be done! Afterwards, we can go up to the roof and you can eat lunch with my friends and I! But.. Only if you want too of course." She giggled talking pretty fast. I still understood her though.

"Oh cool! That sounds great. Thank you!" I smiled.

"Don't mention it!"

~Time Skip~

It took awhile to fully go around the school, and Kirstie was right. It was around lunch time when we finished the tour. I had to admit, it was an amazing school. It almost felt like a college. This school was gigantic, some places aren't even used. I was pulled out of my thoughts by Kirstie dragging me to another unknown location.

"Hey, where are we going?" I asked, taken slightly aback from the sudden movement.

"To the rooftop dummy!" She laughed. She's like a child, it makes her unique. I like it. We walked for a little bit before coming to a set of stairs that presumably led to the roof. I was amazed by the view of the small town. It was simple, yet beautiful. I guess it wasn't too bad that we moved here.

Kirstie led me over to three other boys before grabbing their attention. They looked in Kirstie's direction, and then at me. There was a blonde one, who seemed to look pretty muscular from how he was sitting. A brunette who already had the beginning of a beard, and a black haired one who was holding a sandwich. I stood there awkwardly as they all had their gazes fixed on me.

"Guys, this is Mitch! He's new here!" Kirstie said excitedly. I waved ever so slightly.

"Hi Mitch! I'm Scott," The blonde said. "That's Avi," He pointed to the brunette and he waved. "And that's Kevin." He pointed to the black haired one. He smiled. I smiled back.

"Hello. Nice to meet you all." I smiled and the trio smiled back. Kirstie soon joined them and patted the spot next to her. I went over and sat between her and the blonde who was named Scott.

"So, Mitch, where did you move from?" Scott suddenly spoke up. I turned my head in his direction.

"Oh, L.A." I shrugged my shoulders, but Scott stopped and looked at me, and Kevin started choking on his food, but quickly recovered from it.

"L.A.?! Why on God's green Earth would you move from L.A. to a place like Arlington, Texas?!" Kevin said dramatically. I gave him a strange look.

"My parents made us move, but from what I've seen so far, It's not THAT bad." I took a sip of water.

"It's always been a dream of mine to go to L.A." Scott swooned. "What's it like?!" He asked suddenly looking at me with wide eyes, full of excitement. I smiled.

"I mean, sure it was great. Big cities, with giant malls, and nice big houses." I said. "But..." My smiled started to fade.

"But... What?" Kirstie asked putting a hand on my shoulder. She looked concerned.

"But now that i'm living here... It's nice to see small towns like these. Having to be able to go to a forest without driving like two hundred miles. The nice fresh air, and beautiful stars. It's almost..." I took a deep breath. "Reliving" I smiled. All of them were looking at me. I blushed looking at my feet. I just reviled some of my thoughts... Did I say too much? Wait.. Are they judging me?!  Oh god they are aren't they?! Stop just looking at me and say something dammit!!!

"Wow..." Scott said sighing heavily. What's that supposed to mean?!

Suddenly, Kirstie hugged me. Uhmm.... Why...? What did I do? What did I say?

I tensed a bit at her touch, I mean, I wasn't expecting it. But I soon relaxed and hugged her back. The other three joined us in a group hug. I smiled. It's my first day and I already have... Friends... My smile only grew. We all pulled away after a minute or two. I was left slightly unsatisfied, but oh well.

"Well... I don't know about you guys," Kirstie said standing up. "But I think Mitch should be a part of our group!" Kirstie jumped up and down excitedly. Avi looked at her with a worried look.

"Kirst... We don't even know if he can sing.." He whispered. What? Sing?

Kirstie quickly turned around to face me.

"Mitch could you sing us a song?" She said happily. Oh no.. I hate being put on the spot like this.

"Uhm.. I..." I couldn't form my words. I hated being put on the spot. It makes me anxious. Kirstie saw how uncomfortable I was.

"It's okay, You don't have to now if you don't want to. But.. Maybe another time?" I nodded. She smiled.

"Awesome! I can't wait! By the way you talk I can tell you have a great voice." She smiled. My cheeks grew a bit warm, and I muttered a thanks.

We all turned around to admire the view one last time time before lunch was over.
