It has been only three years since I've been stuck in this hell hole. Not really a good way to celebrate my birthday. The food is nasty and my insomnia does not help my current condition. The doctors say I'm incurable, but I don't believe their doubts. I know I can fight this battle. I have many visions of me flying through the sky, wind beneath my legs. I soar higher than all the birds in the sky. I also seem to be wearing blue pajamas. I have yet to tell my therapist about these daydreams.
I am scared she may move me to another asylum facility. I may not like the staff but the other patients are quite friendly. Her name is Jade and she she's been here WAY LONGER than I've been here. Even though me and her are very close, she never did tell me how or why she was in here. I guess I'll find out soon enough. Well, I got to go, one of the guards' are calling me!

I closed my tiny journal and tucked it under my pillow on my cot. Luckily, I was allowed to have the freedom to use my hands and sleep on actual furniture. I walked up to the door that locked me out from the world and looked out the mini window. My eyes looked out to see my favorite stern-faced guard, Dave. I smiled happily and waved out the window. He kept a straight face and motioned me through the window to move back off the door. I did as he told. The door opened and there stood Dave Strider himself.
"I need your daily reports," He spoke clearly nodding his head over to where my journal was kept. I wasn't sure how he would of known where my journal was but I brushed off the thought.
"Is it really that time of month? I hate to show my secrets with the snobby doctors," I pouted looking up at the guard who still had a straight face.
Dave sighed and reached his hand out. "I can't fill-in for you this time. Dr. Lalonde is getting suspicious and I don't want her getting all up on me about it anymore."
I gave him a crooked smile and walked over to the bed and pulled out the mini journal I hid. "Take good care of Casey."
"Casey? You named your journal?"
"Yeah. I just felt attached to the thing.." I muttered looking down at my feet a little embarrassed.
Dave put up his hands, yielding any hurt feelings he may have caused me. "Sorry bro, didn't mean to hurt feelings, just need the book."
I hand him the book and he takes it in his grip and walks back towards the door. But before he exits out, he turns back around and gives me a smirk. "I'll bail you out of here someday, maybe not today, but someday."
