Pancakes

AJ'S POV

I woke up with a smile by thinking about Alexa, I felt alive and happy as ever. I went to the bathroom and did everything necessary, then went downstairs to get breakfast.

I walked in with a smile, "good morning everyone!" I greeted them all before opening the fridge. I pulled out eggs, then went in the pantry for the waffle mix.

As I grabbed water from the sink chance whispers to me from across the counter. "Psss, what are you so happy about?"

I didn't answer I just kept smirking as I cracked an egg.

"Dude?" Chance leaned over hitting my arm.

I smirked and set the mix down, "what?" Chance asked impatient.

"Last night," I paused smiling.

"Yeah?" Chance asked.

"Me and Alexa, we..." I pushed my hair back still with a smile on my face.

"You what?" Chance smiled from engagement with my story.

"We kissed," I smirked.

"Oh," Chance began to act worried. "You guys kissed? Well this changes the whole bet". I smiled at him as he looked serious, then his face rose to a smirk. "Hate to break it ya, but me and Tessa have kissed as well". He leaned back in whispering, "we even fucked". He then chuckled and leaned back.

"What?" I was shocked. "How the fuck have you guys not been caught?"

"We're careful," he smirked.

But I wasn't intimidated, "so how come you can't make it official?"

He shrugged, "I'm not trying to force it".

"Well then have fun loosing the bet, because you can't close," I smirked then continued to make my pancakes. I talked to Chance about random stuff as I made the pancakes.

"Something smells good?" Alexa came walking in, and I stopped everything I was doing to just stare at her. See her walk, her smile, God her smile! When she smiles she's gorgeous, makes me smile just seeing her happy.

"Pancakes?" I asked giving her a stack of three.

"Mm, yes please," she sat down at the counter. I smiled and she smiled back, I wanted to kiss her. I want to do a hell a lot more than just kiss her. It felt awkward, she just ate and I wanted to talk to her, but I didn't want to make things uncomfortable. I continued to make pancakes and we stayed silent.

The silence was broken when Chance began to talk, "so AJ, how's your girlfriend?"

"What?" I asked confused.

"Alexa, have you seen AJ's girl, she's gorgeous". Chance gave me a smirk.

"No, I didn't know he was seeing someone," Alexa tilted her head at me with a pissed off expression.

"Because I'm not," I clenched the spatula that I was using.

"Really because," Chance continued. I knew I had to do something fast, Chance was trying to ruin my chances with Alexa.

"Ask Tessa," when I said her name Chance looked angry. "She's knows who's with who, I'm I right?" I smirked at Chance who shook his head.

Chavez clenched his jaw then spoke,"you're right, I'm thinking of Alex. You're single".

I nodded as Chance got up out of his seat and walked away.

"What was that about?" Alexa asked curiously.

"Nothing, don't worry about it," I turned off the stove as I finished the pancakes.

I sat besides Alexa and started to put syrup on my pancakes. I noticed what Alexa was going to pancakes and alertly asked,"What are you doing?"

She giggled from my sudden energy, "what are you talking about?"

"You're pancake, why are you putting butter on!" I shook my head.

"It's delicious," she cut a piece and put the fork near my mouth. I chuckled then took the pancake with butter on it. I continued to chew as she smirked, "and?"

"Not that bad," I swallowed. "But," I ripped off a piece of my pancake and dipped it in hot syrup. "This is better," she opened her mouth and took the pancake. We both laughed because I was feeding her, I licked the syrup off my fingers and chuckled. "Better?"

"I hate to admit it, but yes," she smiled.

I bit the inside if my bottom lip as I stared her. "You a, you got something," I touched my own cheek indicating she had something on hers.

She tried to lick it and me made me laugh, "here". I whispered, then slowly moved my hand to her cheek, I gently rubbed the syrup off. As I did she stared at me, right in my eyes, I stared back. I began to lean in as she did the same, but we were interrupted when the backyard door began to slide open.

She shifted away and continued to eat her pancakes as I did the same.

"What's going on in here,"Jake walked in drenched from the pool.

"Just eating breakfast," Alexa answered.

"Sure," Jake smirked and rolled his eyes.

I smirked back at her as she looked into my eyes. I gave little chuckle as she grinned back. I didn't say or do anything, we both ate our pancakes in silence as if nothing happened.

The rest of the day it was team 10 hanging out and getting to know Alexa. Now and then, we would flirt and touch each other playfully. The whole time I wanted to kiss, but for some I didn't that she felt the same way.

By 11, we were all heading to Vidcon for the weekend. We jumped in the team 10 van and Alexa sat next to me.

Ten minutes into the drive, Alexa's eyes were slowly shutting as she rested on the seat. She looked adorable, I smiled at the sight of her. I lifted my arm up and rested it around her, as she moved her arms around my body. She hugged me as her head rested on my chest, in a few seconds she was out cold.
