No pov. In the stadium

"Welcome everyone! This is the first quarter-finals in the tournament. I am Steven your host. Remember we will see three on three pokémon battle until the semi-final where will be six on six pokemon battle and also the final. The first quarter-finals are Aaron and Max. It'll be a three-on-three battle! And the battlefield is a grand" Steven said excitedly.

Both trainer and the referee stepped their position. "This first quarter final matchup between Aaron, and Max, of Petalburg City, is about to begin! It'll be a 3-on-3 battle!" the referee said as he raised his flags in the air. "The trainers will be able to substitute their Pokémon at any time. It is allow to use Mega evolutions or Z-Moves. Is that understood?" Both trainers nodded their heads in agreement.

The referee continued. "The winner will be determined when one side's Pokémon are unable to battle! Trainers, present your first Pokémon!"

Max took the first move. "Aaron, allow me to introduce you to my first Pokémon. Gallade, I choose you!" He threw his Pokéball into the air, to reveal his first choice. The bipedal Pokémon took a battle stance in front of Max. The lower half of the Pokémon was white, but starting at the center of its torso, turned green until it came to its neck. Its head was primarily white, with a green helmet like-feature, which covered half its face. Along its green arms, there were blade-like appendages that ran from the end of its elbows to its forearms.

Aaron didn't even flinch at the sight of the awe jaw Pokémon. He said. "Pikachu I choose you!" The Yellow Pokemon jumped down his shoulder and He took a battle stance in front of Aaron.

The referee looked at both Pokémon, confirming that they were the ones that had been chosen. Satisfied with what he see, he raised the flags and yelled, "Let the battle begin!"

"I'll take the first move," Max shouted. "Gallade use Close Combat!" Gallade could be seen beginning to rush, as he charged up his hands before he meet pikachu

Aaron smirked, before calling out a counterattack, "Pikachu, use Quick attack!" Pikachu responded by charged up a light white beam around his body.

The two attacks speeded towards each other until they met head on, but Gallade missed the hit and the quick attack, from Pikachu, continued its course as if it hit nothing at all.

Max gasp in horror. "Gallade, get out of there!" He shouted. Gallade barely evaded the attack. Before Max could stop to think, Aaron called the next move

"Pikachu, finish this with Thunderbolt!" he said flatly. The electric Pokémon leaned back, and then, he let out powerful stream of thunder. Thestream of thunder made its way over to Gallade, slamming the already weak Pokémon into the wall, behind Max. When the dust settled, the entire stadium could see that Gallade wasn't getting up anytime soon.

"Gallade is unable to battle, Pikachu is the winner!" the referee announced.

Max was shocked at what just happened. His plan was to intimidate Aaron, but it didn't work. Hell, he didn't even flinch. He sighed and returns Gallade back into its Pokéball, before retrieving his second Pokémon.

Max looked over to her opponent before enlarging the Pokéball in his hand and smiling, "I have to give you credit, Aaron, you're better than I expected. But that's the last time that I underestimate you! Go sceptile!" With that, he tossed his Pokéball in the air and produced a reptilian, bipedal Pokémon. His neck is somewhat long, and he has two crests on its head. He has semicircular, yellow eyes with red rims. Its lower jaw and a belt-like band across its waist are also red. Along its back, it has two lines running down the middle and two rows of yellow nodules that are described as seeds. Its tail is shaped similar to that of a palm tree's branch. Both of its long arms have two sharp, elongated leaves and three claws.
