Kayla's POV

I got out of my car and walked up to the door. I knocked and after 10 seconds the door flew open. "Hey!" my friend Abby said while gesturing for me to come in. "Come with me quickly! Before the boys see you!" She said while dragging me to her room. "Ouch!" I say to her as she shuts the room door shut! 'Sorry!" she said. "Okay, I've got news!" she said. "What?" I asked her. " 'What?' Oh come on at least sound a little excited!" she said."Fine! OMG What?!" I say with a fake voice. "Better! Okay, Jake Miller is going to be here!" she said. "Wh-who in-invited h-him?" I asked her. My voice was shaky because, I have a HUGE crush on Jake. "I did silly!" she said. That's when I got mad. "Abby, you do know I LIKE JAKE! Right?!" I said screaming. "Yeah, I invited him so you guys can get to know each other. That's why I told you to buy that dress!" she said. She has a point there. When I was about to speak the doorbell rung. Both Abby and I walked to the door. Abby opened it and standing there was, Jake Miller. I felt my heart starting to race. I felt a million of butterflies begining to blossom in my stomach. "Hey" Jake said to Abby. "Jake, I want you to meet someone. This is my best friend Kayla!" She said while gesturing towards me. "Hi," I said with an awkward wave following it. "Oh, umm, hey." he said. Jake sounded nervous. I grabbed my cellphone and texted Abby. Apparently, Jake did the same thing. Creepy.I text Abby.{A-Abby; K-Kayla}

After I texted Abby, someone texted her. She looked down at her phone and smiled. Then she looked at Jake and they both were staring at me.I was just standing there awkwardly."Abby! Can you come down and help me with this please?" Abby's mom yelled. "I'm coming!" she yelled back. "You two, talk while I'm gone." She said and winked at Jake. I was lost. Did Jake text her? Did Jake text her something about, me? "So," he said. "So," I said and we both stood there awkwardly for a minute. "Kayla, can I ask you something?" Jake asked. My heart started to pound faster when he said my name. "Yeah." I said trying to keep my cool. "Would you like to go out with me? And I'm not just joking. I'm serious. Oh and WAKE UP! KAYLA WAKE UP!" I was confused. I felt like someone was shaking me. "Abby?" I asked while opening my eyes. It was just a dream. Of course. Jake would never ask me out. "You are so lucky I woke you up. Teacher was about to call on you but I told her that you didn't want to be bothered because you have a MASIVE headache." she said. "Thanks for the close call." I say. I look up and notice that Jake was staring at me. When he noticed I was looking he turned his attention back to the teacher. It was all just a dream. Just a dream.
