Odd Love

Chapter 8.

It's been a week and there still no progression between Leo and Lucas.After their trip last week,both are seen avoiding each other.Leo will take another route every time he sees Lucas in the way. He even switch his seat during Lucas' lecture,sitting far behind and Joy has no choice but to follow along.

Lucas showed awkward body language whenever their eyes met during his lecture,leaving him stunned for seconds before resuming his talk.

Just what's wrong with both of them!

Joy heaves a heavy sigh as she sits in front of Leo in the library,staring at the guy in front of her.

"Idiot" she murmurs to herself while extending her arms,grabbing at the edge of the book held by Leo before turning it over. 

 Turns out that Leo had been holding his book upside down the whole time and Joy just wait for him to turn it but to her disappointment,the friend seems to be in an absent-mind state.

"Leo" Joy leans in and whispers his name when Leo shows no reaction over what just happened.

"Hmmmm-"

Joy rolls her eyes and snatches the book in his hands,resulting in him lifting up his head;staring at the seemly annoyed Joy.

"What is wrong with you?" she whispers in a stern tone of voice.

"Nothing" replies Leo in flat tone.

"Oh- Professor Yao!" Joy's expression brighten as she exclaims to which Leo quickly turns his head around,searching for Lucas.

"Gotcha!" she sneers at him. 

Leo averts his gaze back to Joy,showing a displeased expression on his face.He can't possibly hide anything from Joy.That girl has been with him since first grade,though they got separated for a while during high school but destiny brought them back together again. He owes her so much,from lending money to agreeing on being a fake girlfriend so girls will stay out of his personal life.

"Do you like him that much?" she asks again,this time with a serious tone.

"I don't know.It  just that i feel attach to him,somehow.But it's useless" Leo drops his chin,looking down at the wooden table.

Joy takes a deep breathe,she knows she has to do something about it.Though Leo facial features make him look fierce but deep inside he is soft hearted guy.Seeing him like this breaks Joy's heart.

Lucas is tired from giving lectures to sending reports and not to mention,avoiding Leo as he does so.Right now he just wants to go home and have a good rest in his room.All he can think about is lying down on his bed and sleep but unfortunately something unexpected waiting for him at home.

He comes home to a completely different situation than how he left it in the morning.He has to park his car slightly far from his usual parking slot as the place had been occupied by a giant truck.As he makes his way into the compound,a sight of Meifang talking while pointing her hand can be seen. 

"What's going on?" Lucas asks as he approaches Meifang who slightly flinches by his appearance.

"Oh i am sorry" she says while making her way toward Lucas." I forgot to tell you that i am doing a renovation on the shop,as well as the house.Look,i already pack few of your things and if you need more,you can just come and get it anytime" 

"What?" Lucas obviously dumbfounds by the new information he received.He looks around and finds couple of luggage neatly placed nearby.

"Wait- Why can't we stay here in the meantime?" Lucas can't seems to make sense of the whole situation he suddenly falls into.
