Chapter 5

Resumption of classes has commenced and students appeared to be longing for more vacation. It seems that a month is not enough for them to savor their summer escapade. However, every one must face reality and brace themselves for another months of school works.

The students were all blabbering regarding their summer activities. Many had an out-of-the-country vacation, others went home to their provinces, some visited the beach, and few stayed at home.

The chatter continued until Iruka-sensei arrived at the classroom and greeted his students.

"Good morning, everyone! How's your summer vacation. I'm sure that you have finished all of your assignments." Iruka-sensei stated acquiring numerous reactions from the students then continued, "Please pass your notebooks forward. You have been given a month to do it." The teacher declared as he gathered the accumulated homeworks from the first-row students then placed it on his table and immediately checked their answers.

Thereafter, Iruka-sensei called the students one by one as he distributes the notebooks until only five are left.

"These notebooks are owned by the people who were able to be in the Top 5. I am going to give incentives to these students due to their effort and hard work in accomplishing their homeworks. And for those who didn't make it, better luck next time." Iruka-sensei uttered then smiled as he continued, "I will now call the following names starting from the least rank then get your notebook afterwards."

"A student who used to be a pain in the neck yet gradually improved his performance by being attentive in every school discussions as well as accomplishing any given school works. That person was able to earn a score of 86%. Let us call on, Uchiha Sasuke."

A lot of reactions were heard among the class. They couldn't believe of the announcement. Iruka-sensei's statements were nothing but the truth yet it was unexpected for him to be able to reach that far.

Sasuke emerged from his seat and gazed at his girlfriend only to witness a beam on her face. Definitely, Sakura appeared to be gratified due to his achievements. She followed his figure until he reached the front spot.

The Uchiha was glad as he never realized that he had this potential until Sakura came into his life. He never cared about school nor his grades yet the pinkette changed his mindset and constantly lend him a hand in every school works they were given. The raven-haired man became extremely motivated as he witnessed her efforts for him to get serious when it comes to his academic performances.

"Next, a tranquil student yet someone who remains alert, calculable, and bighearted who can adapt to any environment. A score of 90%, Uzumaki Karin."

Countless number of male students were cheering on her as she was admired by these people due to her beauty and brains.

"Then, a student who acts cold and steady but is surprisingly reliable in any aspects. A score of 94%, Uzumaki Menma."

Hinata screamed then shouted, "That's my Menma!" only to be reprimanded by Iruka-sensei.

"Our top 2, a student who does not rely on his family's popularity and success yet strives to make his path through his own effort and hard work. A score of 98%, Akimichi Chouji."

Chouji emerged from his seat then went to the teacher's table then returned to his respective chair.

"Last but definitely not the least, I know that you extremely have an idea who this person is but it just never gets old. A student who is unbelievably intelligent and acquires an immense amount of discipline any school could be proud of. A score of 100%, Haruno Sakura."
