It had been the holidays for a week, and it consisted of another week to come, before school started. For the whole first week I had been playing tennis, in tournaments and things like that, not pro. Just as an amateur. I was over the moon when it had finished, it meant I finally got a lie in. So I woke up about half 10ish, and just went back to sleep. Then I woke up again, around half 12, by the sound of my mum coming in from the shops. I listened to her as she rattled around in the kitchen and un-packed the shopping. As she was doing this I picked up my phone, and started texting my friends, all arranging to go out shopping someday the following week. Then mum came through with my breakfast, Cup of tea, a glass of apple juice, and some coco-pops. As I began to munch my way through the cereal, I was about to ask my mum if it was okay that I went out with my friends shopping. But before I could, she burst out with happiness and asked me if I wanted the good or the bad news, just as I was saying that I wanted the bad news first, my brother burst into my room asking for the good, he had obviously over heard her, as she talks so loudly when she’s in a good mood. So she said she would give us the good news, she shouted, “We are going on holiday on Monday!”. I asked where, and she gave me the longest explanation possible of somewhere in Scotland. I sighed, because I really didn’t want to go, I had already started making plans for that week. She also said that my gran and grandpa were coming, so I was even more annoyed.   I like my gran and grandpa, but going on holiday can be a bit stressful…They are always worrying in case something happens.  So for the whole day I was dreading this holiday.
