Chapter 4

By the time lunch came around people had made rumors about me and Ryder

I wanted to ignore it but I couldn't it was all getting so annoying I wanted it to stop but they just keep coming and comi-
Ryder's friend (Chris) came up to me and ended my train of thought "hello gorgeous" he smirked "um hi Chris" I smiled softly " I was wondering if you want to sit at my table today if you want" he said

"Um I'm not sure" I said not really wanting to sit with him "come on, please just for me" he said pouting slightly trying to put me under his spell which sadly worked"ugh ok fine just this once" I said he smirked "great now let's go" he said a he wrapped his arm around my waist

But me being me I pushed his hand away while walking next to him in a safe distance

Once we got to his table Riley was smiling but once we make eye contact her smile faded "what is she doing here" she asked annoyed

Chris rolled his eyes "she's sitting with us because I want her to" he answers "I don't want her here she needs to leave" Riley whined

"No" said a voice from behind me once I turned around I saw Ryder glaring at Riley "she is going to stay and that's final" he spoke in a very low voice that made chills run up my spine Riley was beyond mad "fine. But if she stays then I leave" she tried to argue

"Ok then. Bye." He said nonchalantly rolling his eyes then sitting down like nothing happened I looked at him surprised not knowing what to do then he looked up at me and grabbed my wrist and made me sit down next to him

He smiled at me " sorry about that I know you don't like it when I'm mad but she irks my nerves so much, but anyways I'm really glad you're sitting with me today" he said

I couldn't help but smile at his smile something about it just makes me happy
but I wouldn't tell him that

at least not yet anyways it didn't take long for the whole school to know that Ryder told Riley to leave his table today nor did it take long for everyone to know that I was cause of it.

By my last period of the day everyone came up to me and asked me if I was with Ryder  I of course said no but when they asked Ryder he was somewhat hesitant at first but then ended up saying no which made me somewhat disappointed but I tried my best not to show my emotions.

•Ryder P.O.V•

I'm not gonna lie it hurt when she said 'no I'm not together with him'

but I notice she tilted her head to the right so slightly that almost no one who doesn't pay attention to her wouldn't notice

one thing I remembered since I've known her is that when she does that she's either disappointed or sad about something maybe she feels the same way I feel about her

Honestly I really hope she feels the same way

I've liked her for so long I remember when we were younger she was just a short little chubby girl who  followed me around like a lost puppy

But I loved it I loved how her eyes shined at the sight of me

Or when she smiled and you could see her little baby teeth that went missing over the years

Honestly I've loved her my whole life but things got so goddamn complicated I couldn't even confront her and tell her what was going on at the time  I was scared she would run away terrified that she would hate me but it's not like she doesn't hate me now but whether she hates me now or loves me now it's all in my favor because I will always be on her mind or at least I hope I'm on her mind.

•Ashly P.O.V•

Ryder and I are currently walking to his car because he offered to drive me home and explain a little bit more of what's been going on but

I i can't help but notice his  adorable goofy smile as we entered the car

"What are you smiling at" I asked his smile brightens even more "would you believe if I said I was smiling at how adorable you were when we were younger" he said happily "oh so I'm not adorable anymore and why should I believe that" I joked

" darling, you were adorable then but you're beautiful now" he then paused leaning in closer to my face until I felt his nose brushing over my cheek "and if you don't believe me I can make you believe me" he whispered in my ear

Sending chills up my spine then he leaned back ever so slowly making sure his lips brushed over my hot and red cheek

"I-I still don't believe you but w-whatever let's go" I stuttered softly mentally scolding myself for getting flustered so easily

He laughed "sure whatever babe" he said a he drove us to my house

Ugh now comes the hard part hearing his explanation for disappearing on me and hurting me after a long time of waiting

With questions that need answers I'll finally know the truth and all of the truth.
