*Beth's POV*
Finally I woke up. I was laying against Erik on the bed. He was sleeping.
"Erik" I whispered.
"Erik??"
He immediatly woke up.
"Bethany, my angel, you're awake. How are you?" he said.
I tried to get up but my body hurt so much.
"Auw!"
"No Beth, lay down, you're gonna hurt yourself." He said and pulled me closer against him.
I looked at my body and saw I had a lot of bruises.
"What happened?" I asked
"I don't exactly know. I was looking for you but then I saw that someone was beating you up. I ran to him and hit him and ran away. You fainted." he explained.
Then I remembered. Logan.
"Did you know that guy?" Erik asked.
"No, I don't think so" I lied. I can't say I know him, Erik will go look for him and beat the crap out of him.
He looked at me like he knew I was lying.
"I didn't know him Erik" I said more convincing.
He nodded slowly. "Aha"
It was silent for a moment.
"Wait, you went looking for me?" I asked surprisingly.
"I just wanted to apologise." he said while he closed his eyes like he wanted to go back to sleep.
"Me too." I said.
He opened his eyes and looked at me.
"I'm sorry I pulled off your mask" I said to him.
"It's okay."
"Just don't do it again." he said.
I nodded in agreement even though I really wanted to see the real him. Without mask.
I wanted to get up, I didn't care if it hurt.
I got up and started to walk to the door.
"Wow, where are you going" Erik asked.
"Uhm, nowhere. Just stretching my legs." I said.
I actually wanted to go have a walk in the park. Just have a moment alone, to think.
Of course Erik wouldn't let me go outside because of what happened last night.
"Okay." he said and he closed his eyes again.
When I was sure he was sleeping I went outside. I had a knife with me as protection if I see Logan again.
I loved being outside for a moment. It was cold so I was wearing a scarf. A red scarf. I walked for about an hour and then I would go back so Erik wouldn't know I was gone. When I was on my way to the Opera Populaire I had the feeling someone was following me. But everytime I looked back, there was nobody. When I was almost at the Opera House, I looked back and saw someone's shadow. I immediatly ran to the Opera House and went inside. Maybe this wasn't a very good idea.
When I was back I saw Erik was writing a letter again.
I walked in.
"Hi" I said and walked up to him.
I looked over at the letter but I could only see the first 2 letters of the name for who the letter was. "Me..."
"You scared me Beth." he said while he was folding the letter and put it away.
"Ehh.. I'm sorry" I said, still confused about all these letters.
"For who are all these letters you're writing?" I asked curious.
"That's non of your business."
"I also got a letter." I looked at my with big eyes and raised his eyebrows.
"From my parents." I said. He had a very curious look on his face but then also a bit scared.
"They live in Manhattan. They come to visit me... well us actually."
So, I said it. I had no idea how he would react. I haven't told him anything about my parents, maybe he thought I was an orphan or something.
"Us?" He asked. Again his back was facing me.
"Yes, us. Well, I actually haven't told them about you but-" I said while I turned him around so he was facing me again.
"They can't know about me." he said a bit concerned.
"But-"
"No Bethany, they can't!"
