After Dark

Hannah POV ch2

I was drifting in and out of sleep when I heard a snap and all of a sudden I was wide awake. My heart was racing as I waited to hear any other sounds. A part of me was hoping I had just imagined it all but that wasn't the case when I heard yet another branch snap and I shot out of my bed so quick, heck the flash wouldn't have been able to compete with me at that moment.

I switched the light on and looked around my room to reassure myself that I was indeed still alone here. I was about to chastise myself for being so dramatic when I noticed that the window was open. Now I know I closed all the windows before I went to bed I couldn't have forgotten to could I? I was debating with myself as I walked to go close it that's when I noticed that the latch was broken and there were claw marks too.

THAT'S IT!!!!!!

 I AM DONE!!!!!!!

 FORGET BEING NORMAL!!!!

 I AM CALLING THE COPS, HOMELAND, THE FBI, NASA heck I am calling them all there is no way you can tell me a cat clawed its way up here,broke the latch and opened the window!!!!!

 HECK NO!!!!!! 

I was running to grab my phone when all of a sudden everything just stopped and I heard a deep masculine voice.

*I wouldn't do that if I were you*

"hello?"  "Is anyone there?" I asked shakily.

Well that's stupid am I really expecting a response?

*normally that's how conversations go, I say something and you respond you know and vice versa*

Oh damn! I know I talk to myself but this is just crazy, even for me.

*you're right you are crazy*

Who are you?

*Can't tell you that just yet*

Why can't I move?

*Cause I don't want you to*

What the hell? Let go of me!

*Technically I am not holding you*

You know what I mean. 

*Do I?*

For crying out loud are all ghosts this annoying?

*You think I am a ghost?* he asked sounding slightly amused.

*How did you come to that conclusion?*

I can hear you but I can't see you. You're holding me against my will but I can't feel you therefore you must be a ghost.

He chuckles lightly *sorry love but I ain't dead yet, guess again*

What are you then? And what do you want with me?

*Part of the living*

At that moment if I could would so roll my eyes at that response.

*Now that would be rude don't you think?*

What do you want with me? If you're going to kill me just do it already.

*Why would I kill you?*

I don't know, so just tell me what do you want with me?

*All in due time dear, sleep now*

Huh? what the...

Before I could even register what was going on I found myself drifting into a nice peaceful sleep.
