Mustapha got up earlier than usual
He wanted to prove to his father and everyone else doubting him that he is not useless and ofcourse he wouldn't mind catching few glimpses of Suhana Adam
"Let's go"Haider said with a smirk
"No don't worry.I still have money for transport"Mustapha replied
"Our little Mustapha is actually growing up"Haider said smiling proudly
He ignored him and left to the restaurant.he checked Suhana's corner but he only saw a young lady who said her name is Aisha and she was her assistant.
"Good to see you are punctual"Chef Samantha said with a stern look
"Good morning chef Samantha"he said with a smile
"What's good about the morning.anyways,get to work"Chef Samantha brushed him off rudely and he rolled his eyes.

Suhana walked into the restaurant greeting and receiving greetings from each and everyone.
Tomorrow they have alot to do cause of the zains order.
"The new guy came"Aisha said smiling
"Who?"she puzzled
"Good looking and friendly"Aisha described
"Mustapha?"she asked,Aisha nodded
"Oh that's nice"she said again adjusting her hijab
"Did you get the list from Chef Ameh?"she asked Aisha who seemed busy washing vegetables
"No"Aisha replied
"It was important,i told you"She said and Aisha gave her an apologetic look.
Aisha's phone rings and she took an excuse walking out Suhana decided to go get it herself instead.
"Mr Mustapha?do you know where Chef Ameh is i can't find her anywhere"Suhana asked immediately after she entered the corner.
"Nice to see you but she left,i don't know where though "Mustapha said looking at an okro on the chopping board confusedly.
"She left you incharge?"she asked studying the him
She had a flash black on when she entered his class back then in primary he looked at his mathematics exercise book exactly the way he is looking at the oleo
"I just had to cut this okro and they seem complicated"he added
Suhana suppressed her laughter.as she stood next to him then asked for the knife
"You removed the cap or should i say crown of the okro first then you start cutting them into tiny pieces like this"she explained
Mustapha liked how she explained things gently unlike the chef he was working under
He just stared at her and smiled
She was just like this back when they were younger explaining mathematics to him a lot of times in a gentle and understanding way
"Mr Mustapha where are you lost at?"she asked bringing him out of his thoughts
"Sorry"he replied softly
"I will get going.when she comes back,tell her i need the list"she said dropping the knife on the counter
"Okay"he said smiling
"Good,see you around"Suhana said and she walked away to her corner.
The day went on
Suhana came across Mustapha and Haider during lunch but then they didn't meet again until closing time.
"Thank you,for helping me.chef Samantha was actually impressed today"he said softly
"Chef Ameh can be like that.we did the same culinary school,although if she's used to someone shes the sweetest.she just doesn't show emotions but you are going to learn alot"she assured
"Yeah,i will get going.my regards to the little guy"he said smiling
"Okay.i will"she said with a smile
She watched as he stopped a cab and left.
