Chapter 8: Lalayo
Elle's POV
"Tyler, nasaan na ba ang apo namin? Natutuwa na talaga kami at nae-excite." Sabi ni Tito Vicente.
Siya ang Daddy nila Troy, Parker at Thalia. Si Tita Paeli naman ang mommy nila. Both engineers ang parents nila and may business rin.
"They're on their way na daw po Tito." Sabi ni Kuya at na nagulat kami ng mayroon ng bumusina sa labas.
Nakita ko namang ngumiti si Kuya at lumabas.
"Daddy!! I miss you po!!" Oh my god! That cute voice is killing me!
"I miss you too, Ella!!"
Almost same name as mine!!
"This is Ella Tyrese Suarez, my daughter. And, this is Ryle Camille Haystein soon to be Suarez." Sabay kindat ng lokong kapatid.
Nagkuwentuhan na sila doon at parang nawalan ako ng gana.
Now, Freya and Ethan are playing with Ella. Happy family?
Gusto ko na silang pabayaan kaso epal lang talaga ang ugali ni Freya. I thought she's an angel. But, I'm wrong.
"Ikaw po si ate Elle hindi ba?" Tanong nang babae na biglang tumabi sa akin.
She have this long and curly tips hair. Wearing a flipflop and a floral palda and beige tops. Basta she's good at fashion.
"Yes. And you are?" I asked and she gave me a smile.
"I'm Rease Celine Haystein. Kapatid ko po si ate Ryle." Sabi ng babae at ngumiti.
"Ah... Okay. Nice to meet you." Sabi ko.
"I observed that you're looking to Kuya Ethan right po? I heard that you like him po."

"HA?! SINO NAGSABI SA'YO?!" I shouted.
"Sa school po kasi maraming nagsasabi. Halata rin po kasi." Parang natatakot na sabi ni Rease.
"Sorry for the OA reaction. Same school pala tayo." I said at tumango siya.
"Opo. Grade 10 na po ako and palagi po kitang nakikita and Kuya Ethan. I also saw what happened between you and ate Freya." Nagulat naman ako.
Stalker ba 'to?
"Actually, gusto po kitang maging kaibigan. I have the same situation po like you." Naging malungkot ang mukha niya.
"I also love my best friend ever since magkakilala kami noong mga bata palang kami."

"Bakit po ganun? Bakit po kaya nating mahalin sila ng sobra sobra pero sila hindi?" She asked while crying.
I hushed her at natigil siya kakaiyak. I think she doesn't have any friends to comfort her.
"Sorry po ah? Sorry feeling close masyado. Wala lang po kasi akong mapaglabasan ng ganito eh." She said sabay punas ng luha niya. I knew it.
Inabot ko sa kanya ang panyo ko.
"I could be your friend from now on. Okay ba 'yun?" I asked at tumango siya.
We talked more and she's talkative and nagtataka na nga ako kung bakit wala siyang kaibigan.
"Elle, can we talk?" Bigla namang sulpot ni Ethan.
My heart is beating way to fast. Darn it!
"I told you, we don't have to talk about." Saad ko ng may diin.
It's useless anyway. Ano? Kakausapin niya ako tapos magbabati kami and then what? Away ulit. Sawa na ako sa ganyang rotation namin.
"Yes we do. Best friend mo ako, Elle and I know that you're hurt!" Ito nanaman ang nakakatakot niyang boses.
"And so? Alam mo naman pala na nasasaktan ako at ikaw ang dahilan eh?! Why don't you just leave the hell out of me?!" Sigaw ko at kinuha niya ang palapulsuhan ko at hinila ako palabas.
Damn this guy! Nilingon ko si Rease na parang cheer na cheer para sa akin.
"Why can't I just leave you alone? I can't leave you like this. Being stubborn! I am sorry about earlier and just please say it! What the hell is bothering you except leaving you earlier huh? Tell me!"
Nagulat ako sa mga sunod sunod niyang sinabi. I don't know pero my tears feel down.
"Oh Jesus! I'm sorry Elle. Shhh..." Ethan said and hugged me. I hugged him back and cry even more.
Hindi ako umiiyak kasi sinigawan niya ako. Umiyak ako kasi natatakot ako. Natatakot ako na kapag sinabi ko ang real feelings ko for him, iiwasan niya ako.
"Please don't cry. I just wanted to know. I-It's okay if you don't wanted to tal---" I cutted his words.
"No. I think this is the right time. Just promise me, you'll think about the happy moments that we shared." I said.
This is it.
"Look, if this is about Freya, I already know the truth. She still loves me and I love her. Kahit na ganun ang ugali niya, I know she loves me and I can feel it. She's actually talking to each person right now. I told her to tell everyone about it." Sabi ni Ethan.
I guess they're perfect after all.
"N-No. It is about me." I said while crying again.
"W-What?" Shocking right?
"I love you Ethan. More than best friends. Nasasaktan ako every time. Nasasaktan ako every second ng buhay ko. I can't stop this thing Ethan. Can you?" I asked him.
This is crazy! I'm crying and laughing at the same time.
"W-What?! H-How?!"
"I don----" He cutted my words.
"This is crazy, Elle! I have a girlfriend pero minahal mo pa rin ako?! Why?! I can't love you, Elle! You know that right?! And, I'm sorry if I can't. Best friend will always be a best friend right? I hate it because you're just hurting yourself! I don't wanted you to get hurt!" He shouted out of frustration.
I cried loudly. Napatingin siya sa akin at natigilan sa pagsigaw.
"Sa tingin mo ginusto kong masaktan ha?! Sino bang tanga ang gustong masaktan ang sarili?! Ako ba?! Oo mahal kita and I know that you're taken! That's why I am like this. Changing. A change that I thought found change everything! I'm trying okay?! I really am! Bullshit! If you don't love me, that's expected." I said na nanghihina na.
"Ako na ang lalayo..." I said at umalis na.
Masakit sobra.
