You Can Shift, But You Can't Hide

Chapter 7

Song: Cut the cord- Shine Down

Laughter over powers the growls emitting from the black tiger and the gray wolf.

The hissing of giant frilled lizard and the snorting of elk stare down a few of the hyena creatures.

Sirenity looks up catching the position of the moon. Looking back down she snorts annoyed and looks at the dark creatures.

One hyena and particular steps in front of the group and let's out a chilling laugh.

The group stands their ground, Tristan in the front Zaran behind him to the right, Karma next to her on the left side and Sirenity in the back.

The hyena looks at each of them, it's white eyes, different from the other yellow ones, stares at Sirenity, dark smoke rising from its dark fur and disappearing in the air.

Letting out a yelp, the hyena turns around facing the hyena cackle. The hyenas laughter turns torwards the white eyed hyena and immediately attack the group.

Snarls echo through with the slash from the claws of a tiger, ripping through the blackness of the cackle.

A wolf's own bark and growl starts tearing at the fur, suffocating in the darkness. Once that hyena is done, Karma jumps back to avoid another attack of an incoming hyena.

The whack in and chomping of the lizard is no where as loud as the other two. Zaran bites into a hyena injecting a special venom she has and tossing the creature away with her tail.

Sirenity kicks out her legs at a hyena that tries jumping on her back. She rears her front legs up and stomps on the yellow psychotic creatures.

A black figure rushes in front of her and fights alongside the larger elk. The mysterious hyena glances at Sirenity and continues fighting.

Black blood and tufts of swirling darkness litter the forest ground. Tristan pant hard as do the rest each shifting back to their human forms on the black ground, covering their pant legs, shoes, and hands kneeling on the cold floor.

Sirenity, now covered with clothes that Zaran carried as extra, on the floor as well.

The hyena slowly paws torwards Sirenity and lays next to her, it's smoke whisping around it.

Tristan bolts and storms to Sirenity," You are a fucking idiot to put yourself in danger like that!"

Sirenity sits there eyes emotionless and unmoving. The hyena shoots up glaring at Tristan.

Tristan, barely noticing the creature, looks down and growls, his claws extending.

Sirenity breaths deeply and stands up her black hair whisking as she briskly walks away, the hyena bounds after her. 

Of course! That's why they smell different and their eyes are different. Why didn't I see this before? Sirenity thinks her mind running around trying to piece the parts together.

Tristan growls, about to pounce on the hyena and Sirenity, Zaran and Karma hold him back.

"Tristan stop!" Zaran shouts resisting the Tigers pull.

Tristan roars, his eyes changing to a yellow from his hawks eyes.

"Zaran!"Karma shouts using her wolf to pull on Tristan,"Use the venom!"

Zaran struggles and calls out,"Sal!"

The small salamander comes out and cautiously climbs onto Tristan as he struggles against the two girls holding him back.
