e n o u g h

people fear rejection
and never show their true colors
until they are alone but
they don't see how unique they are
from the freckles that sprinkle
around their noses
and dapple their shoulders
to their unshaved legs
and undoubtedly uneven toes
they are perfect
they are beautiful
they are unique
they are enough
but when will they see
the way i see them?
they dont see how beautiful they are
from the way their hair is like
a waterfall down their backs
sweeping up at the ends
like an eagle taking off to freedom
maybe that's what people need
to be told how much they are
worth it
because dear god
you are enough
