I open the door of my closet and groan.I hate going out because I don't have enough money to buy new clothes.All I have is a total of five outfits that I wear when I go out and I have to repeat it everytime.
I decide to wear my skinny jeans,and a simple sleaveless top along with my black pumps.

I put on a light makeup and open my hair.Oh how I wish I had a straightner or a curling iron but I don't have enough money to buy new stuff.I only have enough money for my bills and groceries.My apartment rent is given by Mrs.Rosewood for which I am thankful for.
I have a small one bedroom apartment with one washroom and a kitchen.My living room is also very small and I can barely fit any of my stuff here.Most of my furniture is made up of recycled stuff because I didn't have enough money to buy it.
I had watched some DIY'S and made a cute centre table and side stools for my living room using tyres.I had also painted the tyres to make them look beautiful.
I had made lamps using Wine bottles and I had also made a photoframe using st-My thoughts are cut off by my doorbell ringing.
I look at the nightstand to see my clock displaying '8:07 PM'.Crap!I had totally forgotten about the time.
I hurriedly pick up my sling and open the door of my apartment to see Kate standing in front of me.
"Hey Kate!"I grin sheepishly."You are late"She tells me.
"I know.Sorry!"I say before locking my front door."What were you doing?"She asks."I got lost in my thoughts and forgot about the time"."And you didn't even care to pick up your phone?"She asks as we walk towards the elevator.
"Why?"
"Because I had called you five times"."You did?"I ask taking out my mobile from my sling."Uh huh"She nods.
"Fuck!I am so sorry Kate"I say looking at my mobile screen that display's '5 missed calls'.
She laughs."Its alright Ci.Why do you apologise so much anyway?Its like the fifth time you're apologising to me today"."It's called manner's"I say sticking my tongue out."Real mature"She says and open's the door of her car before sliding into the driver's seat.

A few minutes later I switch on the radio and change a few channel's when I come across my current favourite song.

"Omg!I love this song!"Kate and I squeal in unison and look at each other before breaking into laughter.

As soon as we walk into the Club I spot my friends."They're there"I tell kate,pointing towards them.
"Oh great!Let's go then"She says and walks up to their table with me following behind.
"Hey guys!"I say and get a chorus of 'hey's!'in return.I sit down next to Stella and put my sling beside me.
"So what are you guys drinking?"I ask my friends."Um José and Kim are drinking Cherry Vodka and Stella is having Dirty Shirley and I am having Sex on the Beach"Sebastian informs me and I nod.
" What's a Dirty Shirley?"I ask.
"It's the cocktail version of the Shirley Temple"Josè explains."Um what is Shirley Temple?"I ask,feeling dumb.Why am I the only one who doesn't know what a Shirley Temple is?
"A Shirley Temple is a non-alcoholic mixed drink traditionally made with ginger ale,a splash of grenadine and garnished with a maraschino cherry"."Oh thanks José"I thank my friend and register the new information in my head before looking down at the menu.
"Let me go and get you guys your drinks.What do you want?"Sebastian asks.I look at the prices of the drinks on the menu and decide to just get myself a glass of water.
"I will have Sex on the beach!"Kate grins."And what about you Ci?"Sebastian asks."Uh just a glass of water please"I say,softly.
"Why?"Kim asks.
"I just don't feel like drinking today.I don't want to go to work with a hangover tomorrow"I tell them and they nod, understandingly.
"Ok,then atleast order something to eat"Stella says."No,I had my leftover chinese from last night before coming here"I lie."But you guys go ahead and order food for yourself"I smile.
"Who the hell has food before going out?"Kate asks."I do"I grin."I didn't want it to go waste"I say and she shakes her head before continuing the conversation with the others.
The truth is that I didn't have anything before coming.I am trying to starve myself even though I am quite hungry.
The first reason is that I don't have enough money like all of them do.And I don't even have anyone to support me like they do.They have their parents who give them money but I don't.All I have is a job that only pays me enough to pay my bills.
The second reason is that I am trying to lose weight.I only have one meal a day if I feel ill otherwise I don't have anything and that one meal is mostly lunch.It also helps me save money.
You would ask why I want to lose weight?Well,weight has always been a problem with me.I was thin when I was a kid but I started gaining weight when I was 9.
I was called so many names due to my weight by the people at my school and my family members that I lost my self confidence.
When I fell into depression in my teenage years I started starving myself even though I knew that it wasn't good for my health but I had no other choice and I was too lazy to go and exercise.
My thoughts were cut off when I felt a hand on my shoulder."You okay?"Stella asks.
"Yeah sorry I got lost in my thoughts"I laugh.
"It's alright.We were planning on going to the movies this Saturday.Wanna come?"Sebastian asks."I have to go to Mrs.Rosewood's place but you guys go ahead.I will join you guys another time".
"Why do you have to go to her place?"Kate questions."I don't know.She just said that she wants me to meet someone"I reply.
After about another hour we all leave to go back to our places.
