It seems like it had been yesterday when Chamilia was out in the country with her dad having fun. She never thought that within a instant it would have made a change in her life. After school she would go up to the hospital for visit her dad. It's what she would do every single day. Chamilia even thought about dropping out of school just to be by her dad side. You can say she was a daddy's girl more important her dad little angel.😇 She pulled up a wooden chair from the corner of her dad hospital room and sat right next to him. Holding both of his hands as he was still sound asleep. "Hey dad. I know you need your rest but I had to come see you today. I've been praying that you get better soon. I even been thinking about the fun places we go to together. I can't imagine those days being shattered away. You are strong and you can make it through." She said as her dad began to open his eyes to look over at his daughters face. His right arm lifted up from his bed and onto her face. Glancing at her with a smile. " You've always been a daddy's girl Chamilia. My only daughter that I have. I thank god for blessing you into my life." Chamilia smiled at her dad an held onto his warm soft hand. She was excited to see her father smile. He needed to at least smile this once today. She could feel him shaking lightly and tried her best to ignore, but she couldn't. Her dad was getting to the age where his body just feels like giving up on him. At this point they had him on a breathing tube to help him breathe. She knew if they had of took him off of it, he wouldn't have opened his eyes. Chamilia wants to remain positive but her heart is making her feel down and sad. Could this really be her last time seeing her dad. Spending time with him, making him smile, riding horses and other fun things to do. That can't be the last time it will ever happen. " Chamilia it's time to go hunny. Your dad needs his rest." Said her mom Amber who had just finished working double as a lawyer at the courthouse. Chamilia look over at her da and felt this little tear from her eyes fall into her face. " Mom I don't want to leave. I want to be right here next my dad. He means everything to me and I always want him to know the moment he open his eyes I'm right here with him. I can't leave him. When he gets better which I know he will then I will leave with him." Her mom took a deep breath closing the room door behind her and walking over towards her daughter. " I know you don't want to leave, but your dad really needs his rest. They have him on life support. He will be fine. Come on dinner is ready at home. Tell your dad you love him and you will see him tomorrow." Her mother said as she kissed her husband forehead and heading towards the door. Cracking it open and waiting for Chamilia to follow along behind her. "I love you dad and I will never stop praying for you to get better. I can't wait to see you walk again, eat again, so that funny dance you do to make me laugh, those amazing cupcakes with sprinkles on them. Just thinking about these moments really make me happy. I know it makes you happy to. I will see you tomorrow dad. I love you."She said as she kissed his hand and his cheek wiping away her tears and heading to the door to walk out the room. "Bye dad." Chamilia smiled turning back to the door closing it behind her. It really hurt her so bad to leave her sick dad behind in the hospital. He has never been placed here in a hospital bed due to him being sick. She only wants him to heal one day. Leaving it up to God to healed him. As they made it home Chamilia got out the car and walked inside of the house making her way upstairs. " Chamilia you not gonna eat your dinner I made you." " No mom I'm not really hungry you can eat it for me." She said as she turned away from her mother and walked into her bedroom closing the door behind her and locking it shut. Falling face first on her bed she began crying to herself. No one seems to understand how much her dad really means to her. Her being mixed with black and white she acted more black than anything. She didn't want to be around anyone like she do with her dad. What was it that she didn't quite get with her mom that she gets with her dad? Not even Chamilia herself can even answer that question. " Chamilia opened the door hunny. Why is it locked in the first place?" her mother stated as she flipped her body over and looked toward the ceiling. "Mom no I'm not opening the door go away and leave me to myself." " Chamilia I know your upset that you couldn't stay at the hospital with your dad but I really need you to open the door. I have some news to tell you." " Just tell me mom cause I'm not getting up." Chamilia said as she grabbed her stuff bunny that her dad had won for her when she four. Holding it in her arms tight closing her eyes. " It's your dad Chamilia. He is gone...
