Lucas looks at the phone then at me.
"Its for you" he says handing me the phone and going to the bathroom.
I grab the phone, throw on a sweater, and slip my slippers on and walk out side.
I pull the phone up to my ear to talk to mason.
"What do you want Mason?”
"You" he says in a low voice.
"No mason."
"What did I do? Melody I love you. I love you so much I dont even Care that you were with another guy. Just come home." I dont answer to this at first because I do love him. I'm just not in love with Him and I won't ever be again.
"No."
"What do you mean no?”
"I mean I dont love you, I dont want to marry you. We are done end of story."
"I don't believe you"
"We believe it, I think I'm falling for someone else. Someone who is not you."
Mason is quiet for a second before muttering "I'm coming to see you" and hanging up.
'Urgahhh" I scream launching my phone into a field next to the hotel.
I curl up into a ball on the floor against the wall next to our apartment wall.
I was just crying and crying. Why? I don't know. He Just makes me so mad. I just think back to the times when we went to concerts and dinner and he was my first for goodness sake.
Why is he making it hard for me to move on. Can't he just be happy for me.?
I fall asleep crying, on the floor, in the cold.
I feel myself being lifted up and being carried but I'm to tired to open my eyes.
They lay me on the bed and kiss me on the forhead.
I'm guessing it was either Lucas or my mom. It would be weird if it was a stranger. I soon drift off into a deep sleep. Not hearing anything.
The next morning I wake up before everyone else which is weird. I look over to my phone and see 2 missed calls from, Jason.
I get up head to the bathroom do my business and go outside to call him back.
*ring ring
"Hello?"
"Hey, Jason its Melody what did you need."
"Oh yeah, do you and you boyfriend to hang with me and my boys we are going camping this weekend in the Forrest. I promise to be a gentlemen even though I'm still mad at your boy friend."
"You know what Jason thats exactly what I need."
"When do we leave?”
"Tonight, dont worry about tents, food, drinks, I got all the necesitys covered."
"OK sounds great"
"I'll pick you up at eight. See ya."
He hangs up the phone and I head back inside.
I figured since Mason is coming a distraction is what I need, plus it prolongs me having to tell Lucas about it soooo win win.
I run over to mason and very quietly lick his fingers.
"What the fuck" I hear him groan.
"Oh dont mind me just imagoning what could have happened yesterday."
"Are you still mad about that?" He asks standing to go to the bathroom.
"Yes.no. Any who, I Met a guy." I say but am interrupted with a "who, imma kill him. what does he have that I dont. I'm smart, whitty, and well handsome." He says smiling in the mirror.
I look him dead in the face and say "an accent". He was not ammused by that.
"Relax he's just a friend Lucas and he invited us to go camping this weekend."
"Shut up really?"
"Yup."
"When do we leave?”
"Tonight!”
"Tonight? We dont even have tents or told our moms."
"Lucas? Do you trust me?"
" I guess. I mean yes."
"Good then trust me on this, Lucas i really like you and this trip is going to be fun"
"How do you know. I mean how do you know I wont screw it up, or screw up whatever it is we are"
" What are we Lucas?" I knew i shouodnt have asked but im so sick of us not being a thing. I know we both have baggage. Im willing to do this if he is.
"I dont know, what do you want us to be"
" I want you to be my boyfriend."
"Look, Melody I really like you, but theres things you dont know about me. Things that might change your mind about me"
" So you dont want to be official"
"Im not saying that. All im saying is give it the weekend. Ill tell you everything then you can decide."
"Sounds fair."
"Good" he says as he kisses me.
"Im gonna call moms and tell them about this weekened" i say as i give him a peck on the lips and walk away.
I talk to mom about the arangments and she seems fine about it but before i hang up she sighs. "Honey mason called."
"And? Why did you answer?"
"Because, i know he still loves you and wants the best for you."
"Oh really. He just misses the sex."
"Honey, you know your relationship did not surrond arround that. Just because you got bored does not mean hes a bad person."
"Wow thats great mom whos side are you on?"
"The one thats better for you. I love you sweety. Just have fun on your trip." She says as she hangs up the phone.

Its now 6:00 and Jason is gonna be here any minuete.
I look over to a nervous lucas.
"Are you sure about this guy Melody?"
"Yes. Now will you relax?"
"I guess."
Jason pulls up and gets out of the car. Hugging me and doing a little handshake thing with lucas.
"Thanks for this jace."
"No problem, anything for a sweet lady such as your self."
I smile and hop in the car, lucas behind me. He leans over and whispers in my ear "you were right about the accent. How can i not be worried about this guy hitting on you? Im seriously consodering swiching from liking girls to guys after meeting him." I scoff and lay my head on his shoulder for the car ride.
