Acromantulas are super sized spiders. Their size ranges from as small as a large dog, to as big as an African elephant. Acromantulas live colonies of about 30-40 in caves and thick jungles and forests. Depending on their size, they feed off of anything smaller than them. Sometimes smaller acromantulas band together to take down larger prey. Even the largest acromantulas might find a partner or two to try and take down a large creature, like a dragon. While they do have the glands required to make webs, they don't use said webs to catch food. They go out and hunt their own food to bring back and eat in their web. The colossal spiders have a venom that they inject into their prey trough bite. It causes dizziness, inability to focus, and nausea. It won't kill you, but it will weaken you and make you easier to take down. Acromantulas are relatively intelligent, about as smart as a dog. Acromantulas don't live very long. Only about 10 years. They lay up to one hundred eggs when they breed, but their population stays under control because their eggs hatch many more males than females. It's not easy to tame an acromantula, it's slightly easier to steal a few acromantula eggs, if you want a giant spider companion.
