Shawn's pov

I peeked through the curtains and saw a really huge crowd in front of me. yeah, i was back in Texas and just in time. i was getting nervous because i was never one to sing in front of people.

thats when i felt someone's hand on my shoulder.

M: scared? no biggie Shawn . all of us were scared too the first day we performed. just dont think about the crowd ,okay? just think about a specific person who you care for more than everybody and imagine that you are singing for her and you will no more feel scared... oops !!! time to start the show!! wish me luck!

And with that she went onto the stage.

M: hey guys!!!are you guys ready to call the boys onto the stage??

Audience: yes!!!!!

M: well then lets call them out... NASH! CAMERON! THE JACKS! AARON! MATTHEW! TAYLOR! CARTER! and last but not the least , the singing sensation of vine, SHAWN MENDES!!!

And with that i ran onto the stage... the rest of the show was a blur and i was laughing my butt off until it was my turn... that's when i started freaking out... i went to the middle of the stage , sat on the chair with the guitar but i couldnt play a single cord. i saw Mahogany give me a meaningful look so i took a deep breathe and thought about the only person who occupied my thoughts.

Thank you guys and my buddies ,always believe in yourself. You can do anything if your heart is set to do it.

A: wow Shawn! that was amazing! so who was that special girl? (walking towards the exit)

Sh: how do you know it's a girl?

A: ahhh!! such messages are usually given to girls(smirking) is it the girl in the picture you have brought with you?

Sh: yeah Aaron!

We were now sitting on the bank of a river.

A: so you are in love with her?

Sh: obviously i love her.. she is my best friend , my everything.

A: i asked whether you are in love with her not whether you love her..

Sh: uhmmm... Aaron promise me that you wont tell anyone about this.

A: promise Shawn! you can trust me . i wont tell anybody.

Sh: Jack J likes her a lot... i think he might be in love with her...( changing the subject)

A: oh really? wow! pls i need to tell your best friend about this...( then he looked sadly at the sky)

Sh: you have had a very bad painful past rite?

A: a very painful one... i-i...

Sh: dont tell if you dont wanna..

A: no i wanna tell(cutting me off) dont speak in between. i loved a girl so much that it broke me when she went with someone else and left me broken just like that. she didn't even come back and check whether i was alright. i still loved her to the moon and back. just few months later , she attempted suicide. she killed herself(with no tears in his eyes) . there was only one not and it was for no one but me. in it was written, she killed herself because everybody hated her except for me. she wrote in it saying that she didn't know whether i was acting or what but she doesn't know how someone so nice like me could bear her like i did. but all these words still didn't break me down. at the end of her letter in post script was written that she would have chosen me any day over him but to protect me she had picked him.and then was written that she loved me and that she would always love me..

( He bit his bottom lip, trying to hold the tears that threatened to leave his eyes. And that's when he couldn't hold them back. First, one small crystal bead escapes from his right eye. Then another. And another.Slow desolate tears ran from his unblinking eyes and dripped steadily into his nightshirt. i wanted to do something to make him feel better but i was at a loss of words...)

A: never hide your feelings even if you think it might affect your friendship, Shawn , that's what i learned from her death. i was stupid to think like that,Shawn.i don't want you to make the same mistake.(i could still see tears rolling down his cheek. after sometime of silence, he wiped his face and then looked at me with a smile.)

A: let's go back to the hotel...
