Resurgent

Chapter nine

Fours Pov-

I see her. Her blonde hair. She is covered in bruises, tied to a chair. Tris. She is unconscious. Marcus comes out of the kitchen smirking. I go over to him and slam him against the wall with my hands clasped around his throat. He has fear in his eyes. "What the hell did you do to her?!" I whisper yell. He scoffs and try's to spit on me. I just push him harder against the wall "That's all you got Marcus?" I say his name like venom. "Tell me What happened!" I demand. He then starts "This is what I did to Tris.."

Tris' pov-

I wake up with a jolt. A large clammy hand is clamped around my mouth and a blind fold is over my eyes before I could see the person. My arms and legs are tied together with thick role. They wrap duck tape around my mouth. I get thrown into a sack. I smell something familiar. I smell the smell of Abnegation detergent. I also smell Lemongrass and sage. I try to think of who smell like those things. Al and Marcus. I am thrown onto a train. Oh no. Soon I'm thrown on the ground out of the sack. I land with an 'umph' My blindfold is taken off and my conclusion was correct. Marcus begins to speak to Al "We can't kill her" Al nods and starts to kick me. It kills me that I can't fight back since I'm tied. Marcus then starts to whip me with his belt. Oh god this is painful. I hear a chuckle from the kitchen. Eric steps out. Can this get any worse. Eric takes my hair in his fist and slams my head against the wall. I feel blood trickle down my neck and arms. I then feel a pair of Slobbery Lips. Ewwww. It's al. I don't have the strength to do anything and I have no more strength I start to black out when I feel myself being tied to a chair. I'm then completely out cold.

Fours pov-

-and that's what happened" Marcus finishes. I pull back and start to punch him. I feel Lynn come up besides me silently where Marcus can't hear her. She is also crouched so he can't see her. He finally notices her when the barrel of her gun is on his temple. She shoots. His body becomes rigid and he collapses to the ground. I look around to see Eric and Al also out cold. I quickly rush over to Tris and untie her. I feel her pulse which is beating very lightly. I pick her up in my arms, getting covered In blood. We all rush to The faction hospital. When we get there they automatically know that it's an emergency. They are urgent to get her to a room. She is hooked up to a few machines and multiple medications. Her wounds are treated and I notice her heart beat starts to turn back to its normal rate. I take hold of her hand. I see her eyes flutter open after a few minutes. She has a crazy look. I then say "Tris?" she then shakes her head and laughs. hun? "Oh my god Tobias for a second I thought I was dead!" she throws her arms around me and kisses me softly. I kiss back. I call the nurse and she comes in checking Tris. Everybody comes into he room since I tell them she is awake. Tris looks suprised when she see's everybody. I smile while she receives many hugs from everybody. Soon everybody clears out of the room. Me and Tris eat cafeteria food from the hospital. We both have hamburgers, water and of coarse dauntless cake! I then see the nurse come back to collect our plates and to check up on Tris, my Tris. I then ask her "When can she come home?" The nurse answers "Tomorrow or the next day depending on her condition." I nod to her. She leaves and I sit in the chair next to Tris' bed side. I then say "We are going back to my old apartment in the dauntless compound since no one lives there" she smiles and nods. I then see her move over to make room. she pats the empty part of the bed, gesturing for me to lay down. I crawl in next to her. The bed is a twin size so it's small but that doesn't matter. I wrap my arms around her and fall asleep to the beeping of the heart monitor.

I wake up the next morning to a smiling Tris who is chowing down on scrambled eggs, watching a television show. Actually a cartoon. sponge bob. It's hard to believe one minute she is serious and mature and the next she is watching cartoons. I sit up and kiss her on the top of her head. She turns and smiles at me. She leans In and we kiss. We pull apart and she finishes breakfast. a nurse comes in and tells us she can be discharged today. I nod and we walk hand in hand out of the building to the dauntless compound. We catch the train. We sit in the back relaxing and holding hands. We soon reach the old compound. We walk to the edge of the roof and hold hands. We both jump. I soon feel a large impact on my back and notice we hit the net. I jump out onto the platform and grab tris' waist, pulling her out. We walk through the dauntless compound and reach my apartment. It feels weird because it's so empty. Me and Tris decide to get showered and get a nap. I go in the shower first. Soon I'm finished. I dry myself off and get dressed I walk out and see Tris curled up into a ball with my blue quilt. She notices me and goes to the bathroom to also get showered. I lay down and leave plenty of room for my lovely Tris. After about fifteen minutes Tris walks out in one of my tee shirts. I smile at her and she climbs into bed. I smile and we both drift off to sleep for a couple of hours. When we wake up, we decide to cook. I make us chicken breasts and asparagus. We eat at my kitchen table. When we are done we decide to take a walk. Tris goes and puts on some tights. We then walk around the deserted compound. We end up walking to the chasm. We sit down and I kiss her. She smiles and I pull her into my lap. We kiss for a while longer and then go back to the apartment since it's getting late. We soon reach our destination. We walk in, locking the door and go to bed.

I then hear running down the hallway outside. Oh great what could it possibly be now.
