Chapter ten

Tris' pov-

I hear running down the hall. I look at Tobias to see if he hears it too and he nods. I sit up and pull sweatpants on. Tobias puts a shirt on and we grab guns, creeping out the door. I'm shocked at what I see. Tobias I know will shoot the man since he had to go through this except more mildly. A thirteen-ish girl stands there with her father holding a loaded gun to her head. She notices us and I put my finger to my lips to tell her to be quiet. She understands. Tobias goes up be hind the man silently and then shoots. I see the color drain from him and blood gushes out. I rush to the girl and bring her into my arms. she is breathing heavily. I then say "Come on, You can stay with us for a few nights" she nods and I guide her with my hand on her back to the house. When we get there I decide to ask her a few questions "What's your name?" she then says "Hannah" I nod and then say "How old are you?" She answers "Seventeen, in a year I would've left my father and he wanted me dead so I've been running from him for the past hour" I am shocked about her age. I lead her into Tobias' guest room. I hand her some of my clothes. I also give her a towel and toothbrush. She thanks me and I hear the guest bathroom shower turn on. I smile and go to he living room where Tobias is. That girl had brown hair and big blue eyes. Her hair was wavy. She was a few inches shorter than me. She had a small figure like me. She also had a few pieces of purple hair. I can tell she was going to be Dauntless.

Me and Tobias go back to bed after an hour or so of discussing what just happened. I plop down on the bed and cover myself with the quilt. Tobias lays down next to me and says "Are you gonna share hat blanket?" I shake my head no and he laughs. "It smells to much like you" He laughs again and says "You can just smell...me?" he says questioning. I giggle. He leans down and kisses me. I obviously kiss back. After a few minutes I pull away and roll over on to my side to go to sleep. "I love you Tobias" he smiles and pulls me to his chest. I love you too Tris" he whispers in my ear. I shiver. He smiles and nibbles on my ear. I swat at him "stop that!" he laughs and stops. I soon fall asleep pulled close to his chest with his arms wrapped around me like usual.

I wake up the next morning to the smell of bacon. I basically jump out of bed. I run out the bedroom leaving a confused Tobias, who just woke up. He then must smell it because he runs down he hall and throws me over his shoulder. I laugh and so does he. We soon reach the kitchen to see Hannah cooking. She smiles at us and we all eat. I thank her and so does Tobias.
