To him, she was perfection.
Flawless in all her parts.
She met him, glittered and warm in the kitchen, bringing a rare smile to his face.
He always wanted something like this. Someone he could depend on to fill his emptiness, someone to make him worry less.
She needed someone to heal her, consume her and her grief.
She lured him in from across the room in a black patterned skirt.
All of this passed in but a moment, staring through the steam, tension palpable.
They met in a flawless embrace, and they blended better than macadamia nuts and chocolate.
A breath of relief left him.
"He really is mad," John muttered to Sherlock as they watched Mycroft tenderly gaze at the cupcake.
"Obviously."
