(A/N I don't exactly know if this is included as a prologue but i just wanted to do this for a little bit of explanation of what happened when she was little I guess, also instead of spelling 'mom' I do 'mum' so sorry if it annoys you, it's just how I spell it)
Chloe's pov
~Flashback~
"Mummy? I don't wanna leave" I pleaded out to my mother and she looked down at me, a sad smile forming on her lips as she leans down to my 8-year-old little self
"I don't want you to leave either sweetie, but you have to," She said sweetly as I was looking into her sky-blue eyes and she was looking back to my light hazel brown eyes, putting a strand of my gold hair behind my ear
"Can't you come with me, mummy? Please come with me" I looked at her in a pleading way, but she shook her head saying no
"No sweetie, I can't" she replied looking in a sorry way
"W-why?" I asked, my voice cracking from me trying to hold back the tears but failed as a single tear ran down my face,
"Because I need to stay here and hold them off along with your father, we need to protect you and your siblings," She said, wiping away my stray tear, my lips started to wobble
"Why do they want us?! Why do they have to ruin our lives?!" I asked, shouting slightly as I closed my eyes, trying not to cry
"I don't know sweetie, but you need to listen to me, okay?" I nodded at her, making little whimpering noises
"We will always love you no matter what happens and you have to stay strong, for us and you have to stay with your Aunt but your siblings are going with someone else, okay?" She said, tears now starting to form in her eyes, I nodded quickly and she smiled at me
"Okay mummy, I love you too"
"You've grown up so much my baby" She choked out now she started to cry, I wiped away some of her tears and put my forehead against hers
"I love you so much baby and I promise we will find our way back to you, never lose hope" I nodded my head again and she kissed my head, staying there for a while until she pulled back
"Goodbye baby" I shook my head saying no and she looked at me in question
"I don't like goodbyes, so let's just say see you later" She smiled
"Okay then, I'll see you later," She said smiling at me, I did a small light smile back
"See you soon mama," I said giving her a big hug, I wrapped my small arms around her neck, she hugged back and I dug my face into her hair and neck
"I love you, Sweetie," Mum said as she pulled away and I was about to say something but I was pulled away from her and got picked up into my Aunt's arms and she started to run away with me
"MUM!!!!!" I screamed out to her as I saw her give me a small, sad smile and mouthed "I love you" Before her eyes turned into a deep red and she turned around, helping my dad who's eyes were glowing gold with veins under his eyes. I screamed out as sobs racked my body and I held onto my Auntie, looking back to my burning house and my parents fighting off them, my 1-year-old brother and 4-year-old sister already have been taken along with my 6-year-old sister by other family members. I closed my eyes shut and kept on crying as my Aunt was taking me to wherever we are going next, a little while after I cried so much there was no water to shed any more and I felt my eyelids getting heavier and heavier until I finally closed them, falling into a deep sleep, the pain finally catching up to me from the fire and wounds, but didn't care as the only thing in my mind was the repeat of leaving my parents swearing to get back my revenge on every single one of them...
