"Make something ordinary look extraordinary today class!" Mrs. Patel yells as we all rise from our seats and start towards the door, cameras clutched in our hands.

Tatum makes it a priority to exit last, hanging at her desk clicking around on the camera.

I take a long look at her. I should do it now. Apologize and get it over with. If she's still mad at me after, at least I can say that I tried.

Some of the guys on the soccer team have taken it upon themselves to constantly laugh when they see her in the hallway or pass notes to her in class asking if she'd meet them in the janitors closet. I must admit, I've felt horrible for making her out to be that kind of girl.

I turn to tap Kingsley before he makes it out of the door. "I'll catch up with you later." I say motioning my head in Tatum's direction.

He looks at Tatum, then back at me and nods understandingly. "Good luck."

I walk over to her slowly and take a seat in the chair next to her.

She frowns upon my arrival. "What do you want Eli?"

I set my camera down. "Hey."

Instead of responding she gathers her things and rises from her seat.

"Tatum." I plead placing a hand around her wrist, pulling her to a stop. "Please just listen."

She sighs and slowly lowers back down into her seat. "You've got two minutes."

"Look, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have told
my friends that we hooked up. I was just trying and go back to the person I was before Sasi. I was being selfish and I didn't think about the repercussions it would have on you."

She stares blankly at me. "Is that all?"

"I realized that that person I was trying to be yesterday doesn't exist anymore. I'm just...not that guy. And I may not be with Sasi anymore, but I must admit. She changed me...for the better."

"Wait...you and Sasi broke up? Was it because of us- in the- with the whole closet thing?"

"That's what you took from everything I just said?"

She glares at me, her eyes egging me to answer her question.

"No...maybe," I run a hand through my hair "there's more to it than just that situation."

"There is?" She arches a brow "But you guys are supposed to be the ones that come to the high school reunion with law degrees a couple of babies to show off."
