Couracant was once again in view for Anakin, Ahsoka, and Plo-Koon. The latter was waiting rather impatiently (impatient for Plo, that is.) for the ship to land, antsy to be back to his bond mate. She was supposed to have been back from Kamino the day before, but he didn't want to miss her between her trips to and from Kamino.
His travel companions were once again at peace, though, with Ahsoka messing around on the ship, pranking a few clones and 'accidentally' getting glue all over Anakin. Said master was a little upset over that, but since he was her master, he got her back. There was a particular reason why the ship was so shiny and clean.
"Master Plo? Um... Are you okay?" A voice broke the silence on the ship, which wasn't really silent seeing as the ship was flying, and he looked down to see the fourteen-year-old padawan peering up at him. Concern was written in her features, and it made Plo just the slightest bit remorseful that he wasn't being particularly 'normal'.
"I'm fine, Little 'Soka." He sighed, subconsciously gripping his bicep where his mark was. She smiled mischievously, and slyly asked a question that probably would have gotten her knocked out if she had asked a more volatile member of the council, *cough* Windu *cough*.
"You miss her, don't you?"
Plo looked down at her with a slightly sad smile that was covered by his mask.
"Yes," he sighed (he was doing that a lot lately), "I do."
"Well, we're going to be on Couracant in about five minutes. She should be down there." Ahsoka said, smiling a little. "Speaking of Couracant, I wonder where Anakin is. We're not going to land if he doesn't come pilot. The soldier piloting is knocked out currently." She shrugged before walking off to go look for her master.
Yeah, those five minutes felt more like five hours. He wasn't really exaggerating much, though. It did take longer than intended to land the ship, and Ahsoka had eventually given up finding her master and just landed the ship herself.
When he finally got off the ship, he searched around the temple, trying to find Shaak Ti, and he quickly realized that she was probably helping in the Halls of Healing, as there seemed to be a lot more injured Jedi with the war going on.
As soon as he stepped into the Halls of Healing, someone ran into him, their arms wrapping around him and squeezing him nearly to death. He had only smiled, wrapping his arms around her and nuzzling the top of her head.
"I missed you," she murmured into his robes.
"And I as well," He responded, holding his bond mate close to him.
Luminara came out of the room a moment later, ready to tell Shaak that she was taking too long getting supplies before stopping dead in her tracks and smiling.
Her smile was bittersweet, though. Obi-wan had been busy lately, and like the two had said moments before, she missed him.
---
Ahsoka growled a little, a ferocious smile creeping onto her face as she circled her master, lightsaber in hand. They were sparring, and she was getting better, but he still won most of the time. She was a challenge, but Anakin wasn't really one to be put off by a challenge.
"Ready to quit, Snips?" He teased, blocking a strike from his padawan's emerald blade.
"Not a chance, Skyguy!" She responded, and just like that they were off again, battling like it was the last fight they'd ever be in.
Minutes later, however, Anakin had his padawan pinned to the ground, a sly grin on his face.
"I won, Snips." He said in a matter-of-fact tone. His padawan rolled her eyes, trying to get up from her position on the floor.
"Fine. Can you get off me?" Ahsoka squirmed uncomfortably, pushing against her master's body in a vain attempt to remove the weight keeping her down.
"Hmm," he hummed, pretending to think. "No."
She struggled a little more before pouting and looking away.
Anakin smiled fondly, brushing a gloved hand over her cheek before standing up and reaching a hand out to help her up. She accepted it before leaping up to tackle him, successfully startling him and knocking him over, causing him to land on his bottom.
"Snips, the whole purpose of me helping you up was to stand. Not fall over again."
She grinned cheekily in response, tucking her chin over his shoulder and snuggling into him.
"I know- AGH!" Ahsoka gasped, her arms nearly squeezing the life out of him at the sudden pain in the space between her montrals and her skin. Anakin reciprocated the action, squeezing her pretty tightly as well, the pain in his neck becoming pretty unbearable. That was saying something, as he had gotten his hand cut off.
The pain settled after a little while, and the duo tentatively leaned back to look at each other. On both of their necks, hidden completely by hair (or montrals, in Ahsoka's case) were small (no bigger than a centimeter in width, no more than an inch in length) marks, each of the other's name.
Ahsoka groaned, smacking her head against Anakin's shoulder. Could the force be any more annoying? Seriously?
"Look at that, Snips. Now you have my name permanently on you."
"Nooooooo...." She moaned dramatically, and Anakin couldn't help but snicker. Suddenly, she sat up and flicked his hair aside. "Huh," Ahsoka snickered, "Look at that. My name is on you, too, Anakin."
Said jedi suddenly remembered something. Luminara would go all, 'Oh-my-children-are-growing-up-so-fast-and-there's-nothing-I-can-do-about-it-but-it's-so-cute', mode on them if she saw.
"Uh oh."
"Uh oh, what?"
"Hide them from Luminara and Obi-wan at all costs. Got it, Ahsoka?"
"Sure, Master, but my name looks pretty awesome."
"Oh, shut it, Snips."
