"I'm serious girls, don't waste your life idling on or worrying if some boy likes you. Go out there into the world and be whatever you want to be. Don't be like me, an old woman with boring life stories."
"But Ms. Lauraine, how can you say your life is boring, you've done some of everything and been everywhere." Sapphire said

"Alright, so I've lived a long and illustrious life filled with much joy and excitement, but that doesn't mean that you'll experience the same thing. All I want from you girls is to be your own person and to make your own choices, that's why I've opened up my home to you and others alike for the past thirty years. I want you to experience life to the fullest and to not let your powers be the downfall of your happiness or make you feel less of a woman or a person in general. I want to show you that you can have supernatural powers and be a regular person at the same time."
"With that kind of talk, it makes me wonder is everything ok." Crystal asked

Lauraine chuckled, "Oh darling, don't be ridiculous. I couldn't die even if I wanted to. I figured that since I am your mentor, it is my duty to enlighten you girls on some knowledge I have acquired through the many years I've been alive."
