Just like promised I took off from all three jobs to help make my best friends birthday special. I know she was going to go crazy when she found out August Alsina personally gave me V.I.P. tickets. We were all getting ready for the night. I was dressed in a black sleeveless bodycon halter twist jump suit that revealed my stomach, complimented by a pair of black Steve Madden ankle lace up heels that I treated myself to.
My hair remained in its normal curly state, but I added a few pieces of Malaysian curly clip ins to give me a bit more length. “FAB-U-LOUS” Cody said snapping his fingers as he completed my makeup. “Now go head, get out. be safe” he said place a box of Trojan condoms in my hand. “Really?” I asked shaking my head at this fool, “Give August a kiss for me” he said closing his robe up walking me to the door.
“I hear you, thanks babes” I said pecking his cheek before walking out to the car to see Jas and Kandice waited. “Damn girl” Jas said, “My bitches baddddd” Kandice said as I greeted and complimented them. “I got something for you 2, I would‘ve gave it to you sooner but I wanted to surprise you“ I said pulling the V.I.P. tickets from my wallet. “OMG, how did you get these? Than k you, thank you, thank you!” Jas said pulling me into a hug.
“When I was at work yesterday I met August and he gave me the tickets” I explained, “Oh my god mami, do you know what I would have done to him” Kandice said gushing, “So we get to meet him?” Jas asked. “I don’t know him that well, he just invited us out so I’m guessing” I said honestly. “Well you know him well enough” Jas said flashing the ticket.

As we walked through the crowded club we finally reached the V.I.P. section, and a big body guard stood at the entrance. “ Name?” he asked stopping us, “Mi-” before I could finish August came into view, “ Hey James let em in” he said to the body guard who move to the side. “ Hey beautiful” he said greeting me with a hug as I entered, “ Hey, these are my best friends Kandice and Jasmine” I said introducing him, I swear their faces were priceless, “ Wassup” he said with a head nod.
We walked over to the couch he led us to, along with many others I was familiar with but it wasn’t gonna stop me as I joined Jas dancing to “Drunk in Love”. My body moved to the beat I felt somebody come behind me. I slightly turned to see it was August, I continued to dance to the song as he kept up with me. As the song went off I decided to go sit down, “You straight?” he asked, “ I am, but it is my girls birthday and I think it would mean a lot if you showed her some love” I said referring to Jas. “Where shawty at?” he asked as I pointed her out.
“Hold up” he said walking off, I watched as he walked over to the DJ booth grabbing a mic, “ Ayy what’s poppin mayne, I just want to thank everybody for coming out and I wanna wish Jas a happy birthday” he said looking at her. “What you want hear tonight Jas, it’s all you?” he asked, she mouthed “Ghetto”, “ Shawty you got that” he said as the DJ dropped the beat, he began singing along. With a drink in hand Jas danced along with me and Kandice.
After the song was over August made his way back to V.I.P. “Now what’s up with you tonight?” he asked, “ As far as?” I questioned, “ You coming back to my room?” he asked straight out, I should’ve known. “Well, um no, but thank you for making my girls night special, I really appreciated it” I said standing up. “ So that’s it?” he asked, , “ I just wanted to chill” he said as he stood up as well. “ Go head girl” I heard Kandice whisper as she nudged my leg a little, “ I can’t leave yall” I said remembering our code, whenever we went out we stuck together. “Girl we good, go” Jas added sitting next to Chris Brown. “Alright, but no funny business” I said as he raised his arms. “ You got that” he said grabbing my my hand leading me out of the V.I.P. section.
