Prince number one: she couldn't remember his name, she couldn't care less, 15 minutes.
Prince number two: James? Josh? Jack? Something beginning with J. Probably. 10 minutes, but felt like a lifetime.
Prince number 3: now this one she remembered. Samuel. An absolute snob. Droned on and on with his nose in the air, looking down on her. 20 minutes.
There were more. So many more. She zoned out, politely nodding or smiling occasionally before excusing herself. Over and over again. Though in all fairness she had become a bit of an expert at avoiding princes, due to her mothers countless set ups. None of which she was ever interested in. Finally, the two hours were up, and she excused herself from the most recent snob. Starting to make her way up towards the stairs, desperately avoiding everyone. She disappeared around the top of the stairs and pulled off her dress the minute she got into the room, pulling on a t-shirt and some high waisted shorts, and tying her long blonde hair back into a pony. Tying up her converse, she started to make her way out the window and down the pipe. When she dropped the last part of the distance and stood up, she found herself face to face with a boy dressed messily in a suit, a cigarette hanging from his lob sided grin.
"So you're the princess."
He said, a hint of humour in his voice
"Unfortunately, yes" she replied "but I'm actually on my way out so you'll have to excuse me, you see, I, I" she started to ramble.
"Be my guest," he smirked, "I don't want to be here as much as you, can't you tell?" He gestured to himself. Oceana smiled.
"Oceana" she introduced herself. Holding out a hand. He took the cigarette out of his mouth. "Luke." He said with a charming grin and tucking a blonde strand of hair behind his ear. He ignored her outstretched hand and instead leaned forward and pecked her cheek.
"Nice to meet you princess" he said with a smug look. Then he turned on his heel and sauntered off, leaving Oceana standing there, dumbfounded.
