She has a few nieces in elementary grades. They absolutely love him, and they always get so happy to see him. He agrees to go sit and watch the second youngest, Savannah, while she's rehearsing her song for the talent show since her mom is at work and her dead beat dad wants nothing to do with her.

He can relate.

He's the youngest among the few parents there to watch their children. An older couple even asks him which one was his, and he only laughs and briefly explains his situation. Thankfully, they smile and nod before taking their seats in the front.

The children finish up their rehearsal with minimal confusion and she's by his side. She does stop in the halls to speak to a few other kids her age, and one of them asks, "Who is this?"

She takes his larger hand in hers and smiles wide.

"My uncle Keke!"
