I fled from the palace and rushed home. I stumbled to my bed and landed face down on it, I began to breathe heavily. I didn't know what to make of all of this, I must behgin my work at the palace next week, as a cook. Then at some point I am to marry the king and become queen of Romania. I felt a hand on my back and heard a soft soothing voice in my ear, "Hush, hush my sister." I looked behind me to find Sam, my brother. He smiled at me, I quickly sat up and hugged him.
"Sam! I've missed you so much."
"I have missed you to Elizabeth. His majesty told me that you would be quite distressed, why?"
"He asked me to see him today," I began,"He told me that he wanted me to come and work at the palace, as a cook. He began to talk of me being queen and us marrying. The thought of being queen absolutely horrifies me. As you know, I can't say no to his gracious majesty. I don't know what to do, can you help me Sam?" I explained frantically.
"I see no harm in the king comanding your employment at the palace, and I can think of no other woman more fit to be queen of this land." He replied.
"Sam, you don't understand, I have absolutely no desire to be queen. I would be perfectly content working at the palace for the rest of my life."
"Elizabeth," He cuckled loudly, "You cannot honestly tell me that you have no desire to be queen, you have to at least have a little want to be a ruler."
"No, I don't." I replied.
"Well fine, even if you don't wish to be queen, I'm sure his majesty intends to take you as a mistress."
I sighed. After a long discussion, I came to be content with working at the palace, and one day eventually becoming queen, even though I still don't want that.

The next week, I began my work at the palace, while I worked at the palace I was to be called Lady Elizabeth. As I prepared dinner for his majesty and a guest. The king came in.
I bowed "Your majesty."
"Lady Elizabeth, how are the preparitations for dinner going?"
"Very well your majesty, but may I ask who the dinner is with?"
"The dinner is with His majesty Henry the Eighth of England and his new wife, Anne Boleyn." He replied.
"My god!" I gasped.
He didn't seem phased by my shock. To him, dinner with one of the most powerfl princes in the world was nothing, to me, it was everything. I had to make sure dinner was nothing less than perfect.
