Persephone entered into the bank, watching the hustle and bustle of the room. Her sister motioned for her to check out the other side of the room as she moved to the left. She nodded and followed suit, going right. The man with the suitcase was fumbling around and he seemed to be looking for something. It was quite odd. Suddenly, he apparated and disappeared. Alarms went off and Persephone turned to her sister, making eye contact. She nodded her head towards the door and the two ran out of bank just in time to see the man appear in the alley next to the bank. Tina grabbed her hand and dragged her down the steps, and Persephone brushed Credence on her way down.
She looked back at him for a second and just felt her heart crack. He flinched and she knew that she hurt him. It was as if her world shattered all over again. Persephone thought it was her job to keep him from his horrible adopted mother. No, it was as her job. There was no thinking required. Now, she hurt him.
She was broken out of her dreamland when Tina started to yell at an odd looking man.
"Who are you?" she asked, exasperated.
"I'm sorry?" the man asked.
Persephone huffed and rolled her eyes, "She asked, who are you?"
He smiled, but still stood as if he was shielding himself from something. He reminded Persephone of Credence.
"Newt Scamander. And you two are?" he asked with a timid smile.
"What's that thing in your case?" her sister asked.
"That's my Niffler," he said simply.
Persephone frowned as she saw something on her sister's lip, "Teenie, you've got something..."
She ignored her and scoffed, "Why in the name of Deliverance Dane did you let that thing loose?" she asked.
The man, Newt, muttered something that Persephone could not really understand.
"You didn't mean to?" Tina asked.
Newt muttered and quick 'no' and shrugged. Tina huffed and then explained that she was taking him in. Persephone knew that it meant that she had to pull her ID out.
"That's a Section 3A, Mr. Scamander. I'm taking you in."

They arrived at the Empire State Building, the tall walls standing high above the rest. She smiled at the tall building that used to be considered her home, but now it only triggered horrible memories.
Tina held the man's arm, or rather Newt's arm, and nodded toward the doorman. He smiled and let us through, the wonders of magic taking us to the MACUSA's headquarters. It would never get old to walk into the hustle and bustle of the headquarters. Persephone could see Newt's wondering and analyzing eyes. If she was a foreigner, she would do the same. Tina pulled him into the elevator and they were taken up. Up to where Tina and Persephone would face rejection or happiness. The latter seemed inevitable.
Once they arrived, Tina took a big breath and walked through the doors. The aurors and the Madam President were having a meeting and it was obvious that Tina felt that she should have been there. She should have been offering input and doing the job she worked ever so hard for. And yet, Persephone ruined it all. Sometimes Persephone wonders in her sisters wished they had raised her at all. They could have shipped her off to an orphanage where she could have learned magic and maybe become a healer or a potions master. Persephone was broken out of her thoughts just in time to see Madam President tell Tina off. The rejection was evident in her eyes, all the hope of her title being restored was gone. Percival was kind enough to walk the three of them to the elevator but he pulled Persephone aside. He had a small smile on his face, though he just had to tell Tina off.
"How are you doing, Persephone? It's been a long while since I have seen you," he said in his low and gravelly voice.
She smiled timidly and nodded, her hands clasping together in front of her to stop them from shaking. She had never liked Percival Graves, in a romantic way. But, she was still nervous as to where his intentioned lied.
"I'm well... or as well as I could be. I... how are you, Percival?" she asked before she could start talking about the way she felt in this whole situation.
He smiled and nodded, "I'm well," he said softly.
The two did not say anything for a moment before Percival reached up to tuck a stray piece of hair behind Persephone's ear.
"I will see you around... Seph," he mumbled as he walked away.
She frowned as the nickname left his mouth. It was foreign. She did not like it at all. All she could think about was Credence. Persephone shook her head and walked back to the elevator.
"Well, what took you so long?" Tina asked, her hand still gripping the poor man's arm.
Persephone shook her head, "Nothing, let's just get downstairs to see the man's wand permit," she said and sighed as the elf closed the door. They watched the floors move past them and they soon arrived downstairs. Rows and rows of desks endlessly filled the bottom floor and Tina walked over to hers that was cluttered with papers. Persephone let a little laugh but covered it up with a cough when she was her sister's glared. She watched as her sister looked for the papers. It made Persephone sad to see her eldest sister doing a job that was far below what she could truly accomplish. She could not stand to stay any longer. She huffed and turned away, starting toward the elevator.
"Teenie, I'm heading out. I won't be out too late, don't worry," she said and glanced back at her sister.
Tina nodded and smiled slightly. It seemed a bit forced but Persephone was not going to comment.
"Be careful," she said and went back to what she was doing.
Persephone walked toward the elevator where she saw Percival exiting. He winked as they passed each other and brushed shoulders. She finally reached the elevator and let out a sigh. She was going to go check up on Credence.-
