The Shadow

"What now?" Link looked in the same direction as he stood.

"I thought I saw a shadow," Lizy said as she stood. "Great now I am seeing things..."

"You've been hanging around Abhilasha to much." Link sighed.

Lizy pouted. "I am telling the truth I saw a shadow of a person"

"Then maybe it's her just screwing with us?" Link suggested. "Let's just catch them."

Lizy nodded and was soon running the way she saw the shadow person.

Link followed aimlessly.

"Get back here shadow thing!" Lizy called.

The strange shadow hurried at an almost blinding speed. "What is this?" Link seemed irritated, now seeing the shadow.

"See told you!" Lizy called now trying to run faster. "You're going to run out of land soon!" she told the shadow.

"Gotta keep it from the village." Link murmured to Lizy. "We don't know what it is"

"Good idea" Lizy murmured still trying to keep up with the shadow, "It's going to the lake..."

"Why there?"

"I don't know...It's up to something"

The shadow passed the shops. The two pursued, Abby was walking out of the doorway. Pulling goggles off her eyes with a yawn, Lizy avoided her. Link crashed head-on into his white-haired friend.

"Ow..." He muttered rubbing his head. "That hurt.."

Lizy was still running after the shadow not noticing her blond friend was gone.

Her goggles had managed to fall back on her face, messing her vision up slightly. Abby angrily grabbed Link by the front of his shirt, lifting him up. "What the hell guy? You done being a goddamn dirtbag? How bout I fuck your shit up you f- Link?" She pushed them back up and set him back down. Abby fixed her long ponytail and rest a gloved hand on her hip. "Sup? Where you rushing off too?"

The color returned to Links face. "R-ruing after Lizy who was running after a shadow," He said then they both heard a splash and a shirk.

"Cold!" They heard Lizy scream.

The two dashed after the sound. "Lizy!" Abby called, holding a wrench up. "I'll save you!

Lizy was now trying to out of the lake only to have slipped on the rocks and fall right back in.

Abby jumped in, wobbling to her friend.

Soon both girls ware out of the water. Lizy long hair was stinking to the left side of her face.

"I missed." She pouted. "I went right through the thing...it tricked me"

"What?" Abby questioned. "What thing?"

"It was a shadow," Lizy said. "You did not see it?"

"Wasn't payin attention." She replied.

"Naturally" Link laughed

"So I am the only one that saw it?" Link asked.

"Ya'll are crazy" Abby laughed as she and Lizy left the water

"Thanks...." Link said.

"You heard a voice I did not hear," Lizy said.

"You heard humming I didn't hear." Link noted.
